Carberry, Lindsay
Passed away suddenly as a result of a tragic accident on Tuesday, March 3rd, 1998, Lindsay J. Carberry of Monroe, Trinity Bay, age 46 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Diane; daughter Lisa; son Jimmy; parents Mary and Alfred Carberry, Burgoyne's Cove; six brothers; Melvin (Lavinia), Stanley (Betty), Gordon (Mary), Reginald (Glenna), Gardner (Nancy), Carl (Sue); nine sisters; Rebecca Froude (Ralph), Viola Ivany (Doug), Vera Newhook (Otto), Monica Earle (Woodrow), Marjorie Coish (Steve), Doris Loder (Francis), Laura Kelloway (Charles), Karen Gill (Ivan), and Iris Carberry (Dennis); mother and father-in-law; Austin and Melita Carberry, St. John's; two sister-in-laws; Hilda Balsom (Robert) and Brenda Reid (Ronnie); also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Final resting place; St. Mary's Anglican Church, Burgoyne's Cove, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland.

Vardy, Claire (nee Roberts)
Passed peacefully away at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, January 10th, 1998, Claire Vardy, formally of Twillingate, Newfoundland, beloved wife of Austin, formally of Hickman's Harbour, Newfoundland. Loving mother of Donna and her husband Wayne Benson, of Milton, Ontario, Darlene Robertson of Victoria, BC; and Gerald and wife Sadonia of Mansfield, Ontario. Also loved by grandchildren Chrystie, Ben, Charles, Dia, Breanne and Jadon. Dear sister of Andy, Doris, Nigel, Phyllis, June and Neil. Predeceased by her twin brother Clarence, and sisters Lucy and Ruby. A private family service was held, at Claire's request. Cremation has taken place, According to Nan's wishes, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, or the Children's Wish Foundation. Friends in Newfoundland may donate to the Janeway Children's Hospital, St. John's, Newfoundland.
