Memorial 2011

Blackwood, Frank (with picture)
My Father
Born Jan. 1st, 1944 in Newfoundland and lived there for 18 years.
My dad was a proud Newfoundlander, as a matter of fact he used to say: "I
have no trouble with it at all. Most people when they see me, they say, "How
you doing Newf?" I appreciated that." He always talked about it in such beautiful ways
when reading bed time stories to me and my two younger sisters saying how beautiful
the sea and the fishing was. Writing since the age of 11, he always wrote articles
about everything he could find. My father was a great dad and a great friend
to a lot of people. Always tried to keep in touch with everyone to show them
they were important to him no matter how far they lived. He was a hard worker,
always giving the maximum of himself be it in politics, work, baseball, being
a great husband, writing articles and of course caring for all three of us girls.
He loved his family, and seemed to get more loving every day. This Memorial is
to show people how special he was and how much we loved him.
Dad, you will always
be remembered and never forgotten. Love always Valerie Blackwood.
