Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, September 21, 2015, Vincent J. Butt of Carbonear, age 70 years. Predeceased by father: Henry; parents-in-law: Isaac and Elizabeth Norman; sisters-in-law: Betty and Lorna. Left to mourn, wife: Iris; daughter: Lynn (Trevor) Fillier, St. Phillips; sons: Trevor, Calgary, AB and David (Melissa), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Brooke, Claire, Nolan and Mallory; mother: Sophie, Carbonear; brother: Herb (Sue), Carbonear; sister: Marilyn Butt, Paradise; brothers-in-law: Fred, Bill (Ina), John (Karen), Ike (Marina) and Lewis (Sue); sisters-in-law: Myra (Jesse, deceased) and Beverly (Calvin); also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the Funeral service on Thursday, September 24 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. A private family inurnment to take place at the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in his memory may be made to Bethany United Church, c/o 2 Church Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9. Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, September 12, 2015, Marjorie Kirby of Carbonear, age 100 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 22 years, Maxwell Kirby, parents: William Thomas and Eliza Jane Kelloway of Salmon Cove, one brother: Joseph, Bell Island, one sister: Ollie Swain, Broad Cove and son-in-law: Joseph Sagher, Tel Aviv, Israel. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Maxwell (Elizabeth), Ottawa, ON, Alan (Esther), Corner Brook and Boyd (Denise), Carbonear-St. John's; two daughters: Audrey (Richard) Cooley, London, ON and Joan Sagher, Tel Aviv, Israel; grandchildren: Alice, Martha, Andrew, Patrick, Joseph, Gidon, Yoav, Saul, Judith, Mark, Alison, Hannah and David; two great-granddaughters: Ma'ayan and Yarden; three great-grandsons: Hunter, Joseph and Akito; special friend: Edna Moores, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Mom's strength and dedication to her family has been an inspiration to her children. She was an active member of her church and community for many years, including a life time member of the UCW, Bethany United Church, a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the LOBA and a Red Cross Volunteer. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, September 15 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. VATERS, Pamela (nee Sparkes)
Passed on: September 4th, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of Pamela Vaters announces her passing at the age of 57 after a long brave battle with COPD. Pam passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sept 4, 2015. Pam was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. Pam was predeceased by her mother Trixie, father Reuben and brother Randy. Pam's beautiful spirit will be lovingly remembered forever by her husband Aubrey, daughters April, Robin and Cindy, son-in-laws Charles and Rob, grandchildren Kira and Joshua, sisters Linda and Lori, brother Todd as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Respectfully the family wishes to have a private Celebration of Life.
