Predeceased by husband: Patrick in June 2001; parents: John and Irene Murphy; parents-in-law: Thomas and Gertrude Fitzgerald; sisters: Bernice Hart, Mary Abbott, Bride Barrow and infant Pauline; brothers: infant Jackie, Tom, Anthony and Jack. Left to mourn, Madeline and Patrick's children, daughters: Patricia (Noel) Murphy, Western Bay, Pauline Fitzgerald (Gary Noftle), Broad Cove, Anna (Keith) Jenkins, Bernadette (Rick) Preston and son: John P. Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Long Term Care Home, Carbonear on Sunday, Sept 2, 2012, Clara Hyde of Red Head Cove, age 87 years. Predeceased by Parents, John and Marcella Hatch and Brothers Ronald and Lawrence. Left to mourn beloved husband of 64 years, Bernard. Two sons, Douglas (Rose), Hayward (Roseann), one Daughter Hazel (Ron) North. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sisters Marcella Quinlan and Theresa Pelletier, two sisters-in-law Margaret and Josephine Hatch. A large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Rested at Hopkins Funeral Home, Old Perlican. Caroline L. Mercer - Passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, shortly after admission to Carbonear General Hospital, in the presence of her children, sister, & son-in-law. Carrie was predeceased by her husband Chesley R;infant daughter Cynthia Grace; parents John & Delilah Bell; sisters Violet & Clara Bell; Alfreda Jewer, & Tena (Hollis-dec) Etheridge. She leaves with much love & precious memories son Bob (Marie) Mercer; daughters Linda Mercer (Tony Smith) & Laura Saunders; three cherished grandsons Robert Mercer, Jamison (Kate) Mercer, & Aaron Saunders; sister Pearl (James- dec) Buckle; brothers Herbert (Judy) Bell & Theodore (Ivy) Bell; brother-in-law Harry Jewer; sister-in-law Evelyn Mercer, many special nieces, nephews, family members & friends as well as her devoted cats, Candy & Catie.
