Crocker, Louise P. (nee Spurrell) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, Louise P Crocker of Harbour Grace, age 77 years. Predeceased by husband Rupert, 2002; parents: George and Edith SpurreIl; brothers: Heber and Leonard; sisters: Effie, Elsie, Betty and Dorothy. Left to mourn her three sons: George (Beverley), Peter (Bonnie) and Gary (Jackie), all of Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Stacy, Terri Lynn, Louanne and Sammy-Joe; sister Shirley Barnes, Harbour Grace; brother Don (Florence) SpurreIl, Winterton; sisters- in-law: Olive Crocker and Mabel Spurrell, both of Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law: Robert Knight, St. John's and Edward (Shirley) Crocker, Harbour Grace; caregiver and good friend Ada Peddle, Bristol's Hope; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Canon Glenn Small conducted the funeral service on Thursday, October 6 at St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Church Restoration Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association. DROVER, Josephine - Of Carbonear, (wife of the late David Drover Sr.) passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General HospitaI, Carbonear on Wednesday, October 26, 2005. Mrs. Drover was 77 years old. Predeceased by her husband David Drover Sr.; children: Kenneth and Linda; sisters: Margaret Crawford, Mary Evans; brothers: Tom, Jim and David Slade; great granddaughter Emma J. Walsh-Williams. She leaves to mourn her loving family: sons: David Drover, St. John's, Kevin (Marg) Drover, Carbonear, Cyril (Tish) Drover, Edmonton, AB, Paul Drover (Cheryl Woodland), St. John's; daughters: Donna (Joe) Oliger, Clarenville, Joyce Drover, St. John's, Gloria (John) Ford, Carbonear; 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother Ambrose Slade, Carbonear; sisters: Angela (Fred) McCarthy, Carbonear, Helen (William) Butt, ON; sisters-in-law: Maude Slade, Carbonear, Phyllis Drover, Deer Lake, Dorothy Sellars, Lou (Jim) Foley, both of St. John's; a large circle of relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. Pall Bearers were her grandsons: John Ford, Jason Ford, Mitchel Ford, Kenneth Drover, Derek Drover, Dwayne Drover and Joe Oliger. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Slade's Funeral Home,Powell Drive, Carbonear.

HIGDON, Gerald H. - Passed peacefully away at his residence on Saturday, October 22, 2005, Gerald H. Higdon of Victoria, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents: Jacob and Alice; four brothers: Hayward, George, Stan and Raymond; two sisters: Vera and Elizabeth; special niece Marina Dyke. Left to mourn, wife Helen B.; one son Paul (Tania), St. John's; two precious grandchildren: Shelly, St. John's and Jonathan, Vancouver, BC; two sisters: Florie (Cecil) Higdon, Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home, Clarke's Beach and Ruby (Alec) Brown, St, John's; sisters-in-law: Elva Higdon, New Harbour, Irene Gray, St. John's, Beaulah Clarke, Victoria, Margaret Clarke, Grand Falls, and Elizabeth White, BC; special nieces: Cindy Reynolds, Carbonear and Mary (Bill) Coffin, St. John's; special nephews: Wylie (Marilyn) Clarke, Victoria, Stan (Jane) Higdon and Brian (Jackie) Higdon, both of New Harbour; speci al friends: Daphne Higdon and Vivian Hiscock, both of Victoria and Wilf Dyke, St. John's; also a large number of other nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Parsons, Elizabeth G.- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, October 1,2005, Elizabeth G. Parsons of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 95 years. Predeceased by her husband S. Andrew; parents:Samuel and Elizabeth Janes; brother Jack Janes and sisters: Hilda Janes, Mae Stewart, Nellie Janes and Col. Hannah Janes. Left to mourn two daughters: Addy (Robert) Stewart, Bradford, New Hampshire, USA and Dorothy (Embry) Hudson, Adams Cove; three sons: Clarence (Myrtle) Freshwater, Carbonear, S. Woodrow (Marjorie), New Market, ON and Clayton (Ethelwynne), Freshwater, Carbonear; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Left to mourn his wife Paula; daughter Deanne Kelly, Goose Bay; son David (Helen), Mississauga, ON, four grandchildren: Robyn, Alex, Jillian and Jenna; son-in-law Arnold Kelly, Goose Bay; two brothers: Donald (Charmaine), Mount Pearl and Robert (Dorothy), St. John's; mother-in- law Mildred Earle, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Carol (John) Button, Paradise, June (William) Atkins, Cambridge, ON, Cynthia (Kenneth) Noel and Cheryl (Frank) Pike, both of Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Curtis (Paula) Earle, Kilbride, Kevin (Margaret) Earle and Greg (Elizabeth) Earle, both of Carbonear; also a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
