Passed suddenly away at his residence on Saturday, November 1, 2014, Donald C. Case of Salmon Cove, age 77 years. Predeceased by wife: Georgina; parents: Hedley and Anna; sister: Jessie (Arthur) Kelloway; infant brother: Hedley and brothers: Hughie, Jack and Amos. Left to mourn, two daughters: Brenda (Keith) Keeping and Carol-Ann (William) Spurrell, both of Salmon Cove; three grandchildren: Stephen, Michael and Meghan; great-grandson: Grady; sister: Gwen (Roy, deceased) Kelloway, Ontario; brother-in-law: Albert (Hazel) Snow, St. John's; sisters-in-law: Arlene Case, Harbour Grace, Dorothy Case, Ontario, Clara Case, St. John's, Pauline (Edgar) Snow, Harbour Grace, Margaret (Wallace) Sparkes and Frances (Sterling) Willis, both of Paradise; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. T. Wayne Blackwood conducted the Funeral service on Tuesday, November 4 from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment took place in the Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the Riverside United Church. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, Evelyn L. Emberley of Western Bay, age 102 years. Predeceased by husband, Frank, 1989. Left to mourn, two daughters: Deanna, Western Bay and Hilda (Bob), Mississauga, ON; two sons: Edwin (Deborah) Sharpe, Goose Bay and Walter (Millie) Sharpe, Dalhousie, NB; and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Rev. Glenn Jarvis conducted the funeral service on Saturday, November 22 from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Passed peacefully away at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, British Columbia on Saturday, November 8, 2014, Sylvia LeGrow, a Scottish war bride, formerly of Broad Cove North, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Hudson D. in 1998 and parents: David and Rachael MacKenzie. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Mary, St. Albert, AB; son: William (Velma), Coquitlam, BC; three grandchildren: Rodney (Edita), Brad (Kristy), Heather (Jeremy) and six great grandchildren; brother: William (Nan) Mackenzie, Drumguish, Scotland; also a number of other relatives and friends. Inurnment to take place on Wednesday, November 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Cemetery, Blackhead. A celebration of Sylvia's life will take place with a reception following the committal service on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay. of Clarke's Beach passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Mr. O'Reilly was 81 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: Wife: Betty O'Reilly; Daughter: Marilyn (Shawn) LeDrew; Sons: Jerry (Lana) O'Reilly & Gary O'Reilly (Peggy Whiting); Grandchildren: Joshua LeDrew, Kaila LeDrew, Dr. Tish O'Reilly, Tess O'Reilly, Melissa O'Reilly, Terri (Trevor) Durdle; Great Grandson: Mason Durdle; Sister: Joan McCabe, MA; Sisters-In-Law: Glenys Parsons, Barb (Bill) Morgan, Doreen Bradbury, Maxine Noseworthy & Elaine (Carl) Mercer; Brothers-In-Law: Bob (Janet) Richards, Wayne (Wanda) Richards & Darren (Gail) Richards. Also, a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased: Parents: Patrick & Mary O'Reilly; Parents-In-Law: Robert & Nellie Richards; Brothers: Hughie O'Reilly, Joseph O'Reilly & William O'Reilly; Brothers-In-Law: Bill Parsons, Wilf Butler & Ross Noseworthy. The funeral service took place at Slade's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2 pm. Internment will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery, Shearstown following the service. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his loving memory may be made to the Angel Fund. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ada; one daughter: Deanne Slade, Carbonear; one son: Terry (Shirley) and daughter: Kaitlyn, Bristol's Hope; two brothers: Dennis (Brenda) and Kevin (Diane), both of Carbonear; one sister: Judy (Will) Blundon, Chapel Arm; sister-in-law: Sandra Slade, Western Bay; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
