BUTLER, Mrs. Mary Mildred - Passed peacefully away at Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, November 29, 2004, Mary Mildred Butler of Butlerville, aged 70 years. Predeceased by parents Allan and Marcella Seymour Parsons (nee Barrett); mother and father-in-law Patrick and Mary Butler; husband Garfield Butler; children; babies Garfield and Marcella; grandchildren David Shandera and Vicki Mercer; sister Betty (Burl) Neil; brothers-in-law: Wallace Crocker, Wilfred Butler, Samual (Aggie) Butler, Hayward (Annie) Butler, Walter Butler, Maxwell Butler, Abalsom Dwyer and Wilson Snow and Peter Franey and sisters-in-law: Marie Seymour and Mary Ellen Seymour. Leaving to mourn: sons: Garifield (Junior) (Sue), Bill (Kim); daughters: Elizabeth (Raymond) Shandera, Irene (Alvin) Mercer, Beatrice (Terry) Parsons; sisters: Irene (Edward) Parsons, Julia (Lester) Oliver, Juanita Crocker, Marcella (Donald) Payne; brothers: James (Elizabeth) Seymour, Allan Seymour, Wilfred Seymour, Kevin (Sherrill) Seymour, Jerome (Louise) Seymour, Wayne (Margaret) Seymour; very special friend Raymond Piercey; 13 grandchildren: Jill (Shawn), Lori (Chauncey), Robert (Christa), Russell (Tammy), Michael, Nancy (Brad), Marlene (Derrick), Laura, Terry Murray; Peggy (George), Alvin, Tiffany, David; three great grandchildren: Lakeisha and Kaitlyn Butler, Billy Porter; sisters-in-law: Ethel, Florence, Glenda, Emily (Harry), Mary, Maude, Eliza (Jack) and Sarah (Roy); a large number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Rev'd Jacintha Penney conducted the funeral service at St. Mark's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Shearstown on Wednesday, December 1, 2004. Funeral arrangements were by Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Pallbearers were Alvin Mercer, Terry Parsons, Michael Butler, Jerome Seymour, Lester Oliver, Jerome Oliver.

LYNCH, George G. - Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, George G. Lynch in his 80th year. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Phyllis of 52 years; daughters: Marjorie (Paul) Mercer, Spaniard's Bay, Claudine (Fred) Cranford, Roaches Line, Wanda (Mark Barringham), Scarborough, ON; sons: Wayne (Frances), Spaniard's Bay, Gordon (Molly), Scarborough, ON; brothers: Levi (Elizabeth), Spaniard's Bay, Lawrence (Betty predeceased), Upper Island Cove, Melvin (Belle), Upper Island Cove and Henley (Dorothy), Spaniard's Bay; twelve grandchildren and 1 great grandson Tyler. Rested at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. The Funeral service was held at Holy Redeemer Anglican Church on Friday, November 12, with interment at Maul Tree Hill Anglican Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
Although you are gone from us you will forever live on in our hearts.

NICHOLL, David George Lorenzo - Passed away suddenly on November 23, 2004, David George Lorenzo Nicholl, aged 60 years, of Toronto, Ontario. Leaving to mourn, sons: Shawn (Shawna) Nicholl and Aaron Nicholl, all of Kanata, Ontario; sister Doreen (Charlie) Noel, Tottenham, Ontario; brothers: Fred (Paula) Nicholl, Tottenham, ON and Rod (Joan) Nicholl, Clarenville, NL; also a large number of relatives and friends. A memorial service was conducted by Rev. Victor Poelzer on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Dunkerron United Church in Tottenham, ON. ROSE, Elvie M. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, Elvie M. Rose of Western Bay, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband John Fred; parents: Ambrose and Alfreda (Sellars) Wheadon; brothers: Frazer and Norman; sisters: Rachel, Martha and Melinda. Left to mourn three daughters: Marina (Lewis) Hudson, Adam's Cove, Ethel (Wendell) Reid, Western Bay and Ruby (George) Peckham, Salmon Cove; one son James (Mary Oliver), Western Bay; thirteen grandchildren: Linda (Fred), Robert (Debbie), David (Sherry), Carol (Wayne), David (Marilyn), Gary (Alice) Debbie (Jeft), Wendy (Scott), Kim (Tim), Amy (Albert), Jamie, Rebecca and Regan; thirteen great-grandchildren: Barry(Angie),Jason (Yvonne), Shana, Ashley; Andrew, Christopher, Stacey, Terry; Tiffany, Rebecca, Cameron, Brittany and Melanie; two great-great-grandchildren: Hailey and Jaden; one brother Gordon (Annie) Wheadon, Western Bay; sister-in-law Gladys (Ron) Crummey, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the funeral service on Friday; November 5 at McDowell United Church and Cemetery; Western Bay South. SMITH, Mr. Chesley G. - Passed away at Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, November 7, 2004, Chesley G. Smith of Bay Roberts (formerly of Bishop's Cove), aged 65 years. Predeceased by parents: Ralph and Rebecca Smith; sisters Gwen, Virginia (William) Gifford, Elizabeth (Max) Mercer, Marcella (Howard) Newman; brother-in-law Ron Gosse and sister-in-law's husband Bill Sturman. Leaving to mourn wife Winnie; sons: Paul (Catherine), Brian (fiancée, Michelle); sisters: Patsey Gosse, Sybil (Ted) Taylor; brothers: William Josiah (Doris), Ralph (Jean), Isaac (Lorraine), Az (Ellen), Roland (Barb); three grandchildren: Evan, Hannah and Cameron; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev'd Archibald Young and Rev'd William Strong conducted the funeral service at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and Cemetery, Bishop's Cove on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. THOMPSON, Mrs. Mabel - Passed peacefully away at Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Friday, November 5, 2004, Mabel L. Thompson of Bareneed, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband James; daughter Victoria; sisters: Rebecca (John) Waye, Millie (Clifford) Moores, Daisey (George) Bursey, Jane (Allan) Moores, Eliza (Bishop) Bursey; brothers: Jim (Alfreda) Cull, Raymond Cull and John Cull and brother-in-law Bob Avery. Leaving to mourn; son Raymond (Barbara); sisters: Janet (Hedley) Harris, Eileen Avery; two grandchildren: Wendy Lee (Lloyd) Grant and Karen Marie Thompson; three great grand- children: Megan Grant, Spencer Grant and Nicholaus Thompson; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captain Roxanne Feltham conducted the funeral service at Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts on Monday, November 8, 2004. Interment was at Salvation Army Cemetery, Coley's Point. Funeral arrangements were by Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Robert's. Pallbearers were Leonard Thompson, Wayne Thompson, Bruce Singleton, Lloyd Grant, Raymond Cull and Cyril Cull.

TRAVERSE, Thomas M. Sr. of Kingston, Conception Bay (Husband of Mrs. Annie Traverse) passed away peacefully after a very courageous battle with cancer at his home on Wednesday, November 3, 2004. Mr. Traverse was 74 years old. He was predeceased by his parents: Alexander and Bridget Traverse; sister Mary Hurley; daughter-in-law Elsie Traverse. He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Annie Traverse, Kingston; children: Maureen (Dave) Noftall, Mount Pearl, Tom Jr. (Elaine) Traverse, Kingston, Alice (Mike) LeGrow, Kingston, Aiden Traverse, Kingston, Carol (Ronnie) Burton, St. John's and Regina (Carl) LeGrow, St. John's; brother John Joe Traverse, Kingston; brother-in-law John Hurley, Kingston; sisters-in-law: Belle Mullaly, Northern Bay and Dot Judge, Small Point; ten grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass was on Saturday, November 6, 2004 from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Kingston, Conception Bay. Pallbearers were: Tom Jr. Traverse, Aiden Traverse, Shawn Traverse, Mike LeGrow, Carl LeGrow and Ronnie Burton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Slade's Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear.
