Cremation has taken place. Funeral service in celebration of her life will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday June 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. Family will be gathering at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will take place at the family's home between 3 - 9 p.m. on Saturday June 21, 2014 evening. Memory donations in her memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.

Mildred (Butt) Flight 1916-2014

Mildred passed away peacefully in her 98th year at the Eastpointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Chelsea MA. She was born in Blackhead, Conception Bay, Newfoundland and went to Chelsea, MA over 50 years ago. She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter and infant daughter, Linda Mae, her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Ann (Thistle) Butt, Sister Mary (Arthur) Rumson, Brothers Jack (Dorcas) Butt, and Herbert Butt, sister in law Charity Hilda Butt and niece Jean Butt, nephews in law, Ern Kelly and Paul Fitzgerald. She leaves to mourn one brother, Rev. G. Boyd Butt, retired minister, Shediac, NB, Canada. Nieces ; Luann (Terry) McManaman FL, Sharon (Fraser) Cameron PEI, Jacquelyn (David) Legere NB, Diane Kelly, NL, Linda (Eric) Milley NL, Beverly Fitzgerald of NH, Carol Ann (Will) Slade, NL. Nephews; Arthur B. (Sandra) Rumson Saugus, Herbert (Brenda) Butt, NL and Glenn Butt, NL. Mildred is also lovingly survived by two special "granddaughters" Dianne and Kimberley of York Beach, ME. Sister in law, Lillian M. Butt of Broad Cove, NL. A dear friend Mildred Baggs of Chelsea, Mass and numerous other great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA, Friday May16.

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, May 5, 2014, Meda Hunt of Harbour Grace, age 95 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, William H. Hunt of Harbour Grace on January 24, 1998; parents: Albert and Emma Drover; sisters: Gladys Lundrigan, Janet Noseworthy and Bertha Adams; brother: Joseph Drover. Left to mourn, two daughters: Enid (Frank) Taylor, St. John's and Brenda (Paul) Stevenson, Harbour Grace; son: Charles (Mae) Hunt, Harbour Grace; six grandchildren: Philip Butler (Leslie), Paradise, Steven Butler, Mount Pearl, Matthew Stevenson (Sharon), St. John's, Emily Stevenson (Brian Tucker), Gander, Heather (Clifford Smith), Bay Roberts and David Hunt (Karen), Portugal Cove; six great-grandchildren: Joshua, Isaac, Claire, Sally, Patrick and Jameson and a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband: Wilson; parents: Charles and Fanny Fry; son-in-law: Clarence; half brothers: Harrison Fry and Thomas Fry. Left to mourn, five daughters: Elsie (Glen) Hiscock, St. John's, Edith (George) Baldwin, Victoria, Madeline (Stanley) Noel and Gloria Forward, both of Carbonear and Linda Morgan, Toronto, ON; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; special nephew: Keith (Selene) Fry, Brigus; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
