BARNES, Willis G. - Passed suddenly away at his residence on Saturday, May 19, 2007, Willis Barnes of Spaniard's Bay, age 60 years. Loving husband to Dorothy; beloved father to son Gregory (Allison) and daughter Denise (Gord); and dear "Poppy" to three precious grandchildren: Travis, Jadyn and Janelle. He will also be sadly missed by brother Keith (Olive) of English Harbour, Trinity Bay; sisters: Marion (Austin) of Goose Cove, Trinity Bay, and Ruby (Joe) of Hinton, Alberta; brothers-in-law: Max (Gertie) of Spaniard's Bay and Harry (Cavell) of Ajax, ON. Left to mourn, as well, are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Predeceased by parents: Florence and George and parents-in-law: Myrtle and Isaac. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hussey's Funeral Home of Upper Island Cove. Funeral service was held at Holy Redeemer Church with internment at St. Peter's Cemetery in Upper Island Cove on Tuesday, May 22, 2007.

BARRETT, Mrs. Mary F. - Of Bishop's Cove passed peacefully away at Pentecostal Senior Citizen's Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, Mrs. Mary F. Barrett, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: James and son: Harold. Left with fond and loving memories: sons: Clyde (Shirley) Barrett of Bishop's Cove, NL, Ray (Olive) Barrett, Kevin (Sandra) Barrett, Bert (Joy) Barrett, all of Spaniard's Bay NL; Daughters: Joan (Brian) Harnett of Richmond Hill, ON, Florence (Phillip) Lynch of Upper Island Cove, NL, Sadie (Porter) Genge of Strathmore, AB, Alice (Cyril) Barrett of Fond Du Lac, SK; brother: Josiah (Lilly) Clarke of Bishop's Cove, NL; 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard' s Bay. Funeral Service took place Saturday, May 5 at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church and Cemetery, Bishop's Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church Fund.

BENNETT, Ella Beatrice (nee Hudson) - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Sunday, May 20, 2007, Ella Beatrice (nee Hudson) Bennett formerly of Blackhead B.D. V. Born December 31, 1913, Ella was the youngest child of Clement and Minnie Julia (nee LeGrow) Hudson. She left to mourn her loving husband: Freeman Bennett at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's; sisters-in- law: Josephine Hudson, St. John's and Gladys Bennett, Victoria, Conception Bay; brother-in-law: Ross Bennett, St. John's. She also left to mourn a cherished niece Rosalyn Hudson and family, St. John's and other nieces and nephews including her namesake Ella Nardone of Inverness, Florida. Ella was a long time church organist and choir director at Blackhead United Church and will be remembered for the love of music. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the funeral service on Wednesday, May 23 from Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Interment took place in the United Church Cemetery, Blackhead. BOROWSKI, Elizabeth 'Betty' (nee Oliver) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, May 26, 2007, Elizabeth 'Betty' Borowski (nee Oliver) of Gull Island, age 72 years. Predeceased by husband: Antoni 'Tony'; parents: Patrick and Sarah; sisters: Clare and Philimena. Left to mourn: one daughter: Sarah Ann 'Sadie'; two grandchildren: Mary (Shawn) and Tony (Janine); one sister: Laura; two brothers: Patrick and James; sister-in-law: Janet Galster; special nephew: Tony Royal; also a large number of other relatives and friends. BOWERING, Wayne - Passed peacefully away at North York, Ontario on Thursday, May 24, 2007, of Bay Roberts, aged 60 years. Predeceased by father Harvey Bowering; sisters: Bonita (deceased, at age l month) and Patricia (deceased, at age 8 months). Leaving to mourn: mother: Ethel Bowering (nee Parsons); daughters: Valerie Bowering (Enzo), Suzanne (Ken) Hallgrinson; sisters: Carol (Wayne) Efford, Helen (Bob) Newstrom, Judy (Randy) Clarke; brothers: Bruce (Michelle), Paul (Debbie), Dennis; five grand-children: Zachery, Stefan, Christian, Alexander, Harley; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. CRAWFORD, John F. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, May 17, 2007, John F. Crawford of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents John L. and Alice M.; brother Ronald. Left to mourn: one brothers: Bernard (Bridget), Carbonear; one sister: Mary (Andrew) Murray, Carbonear; sister-in-law: Catherine Crawford, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. FROST, Barry MacKinley - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on May 29, 2007, age 51 years. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Kathie; two beautiful children: Jennifer and Amanda and their mother Anne. His devoted mother and father: Walter and Rowena Frost of Hillview; his ever-faithfull sister: Pauline (Gary) and his loyal brother: Keith (Lana). Left also to mourn are his nieces and nephews: Angela and Adam Park and Mackenzie and Hannah Frost along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His parents-in-law: Gail and Bert Brown and his sister-in-law: Sheri (Nathan). His dedicated Ready Cash employees, along with hundreds of business associates across Canada and the US whose lives he touched in so many ways. Also mourning is Margaret Jarvis, whose friendship brought Barry comfort and his treasured and faithful companion GUS. Waiting for him in heaven: Mom and Dad Adams, Nan and Pop Frost, Mother-in-law Nellie Cornick, Cousin Jeffrey Izer, Aunt Mary, Uncle Levi, along with special friends Nita and Max Stoyles. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Hillview United Church Pastorial Charge Manse Pavement Fund. The funeral service took place at The Grace United Church, Hillview delivered by Pastor Glenn Jarvis, his minister and friend on May 31, 2007.

MILLEY, Irene E. - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Friday, May 11, 2007, Irene E. Milley of Burnt Point, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband: Archibald; brothers: Eli, Isaac and Pickering. Left to mourn, two daughters: Beatrice (Frederick) Tucker, Toronto, Ontario and Jane (Bill) Morgan, Burnt Point; four sons: Eldon (Brenda), Scarborough, Ontario, Roy (Maxine), Burnt Point, Calvin (Marion) and Jethro (Julie), both of Toronto, Ontario; fourteen grandchildren: Terry (Sue), Darlene (Mark), Janice (Vince), Chris (Vanessa), Bret, Judy (Glen), Rick (Lyne), Brian (Shauna), Danielle, David (Shelly), Colleen (Stephen), Shawn (Shelly), Steven (Debbie) and Heather (Dennis); fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers: Thomas (Susie) Milley and Mervin (Margaret) Milley, both of Burnt Point; three sisters: Marion (Samuel) Sharpe, Toronto, Ontario, Jessie Tucker and Jane George, both of Burnt Point; also a large number of other relatives and friends. NOSEWORTHY, Emma - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on May 26, 2007, Mrs. Emma Noseworthy of Spaniard's Bay, aged 87 years. Predeceased by; husband: James Noseworthy; parents: James and Jessie Gosse; sisters: (Baby) Elizabeth Gosse, Violet Lynch; brothers: William, Gordon and James Gosse. Left with fond and loving memories: sons: Ralph Noseworthy, James (Phyllis) Noseworthy all of Spaniard's Bay; daughters: Jessie (Llewellyn) Neil of Spaniard's Bay, Sadie (Derrick) Penney of Alberta. Sisters: Cavell Pretty of Dildo, Florence (John) Earle of Carbonear, Myrtle Reynolds of Carbonear; brother: Roy Gosse of Shearstown; six grandchildren: Joanne (Douglas) Crane, Jerry {Denise) Noseworthy, Philip Neil, Tony (Elizabeth) Noseworthy, Lisa (Paul) Barrett, Janine (Aaron) Penney; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Emma was a proud member of the Senior Citizens Club, Spaniard's Bay, LOBA#1180 of Spaniard's Bay and Crystal Chapter #43 of Bay Roberts. Rested at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. Funeral service took place Wednesday, May 30 at Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard's Bay with interment at Greenhead Anglican Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. PARSONS, Louisa F. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2007, Louisa F. Parsons of Victoria, age 74 years. Predeceased by husband: James H. 1988; parents: Alexander and Providence Clarke; brothers: Frederick and George; sisters: Goldie, Eliza, Annie and Margaret.
