CHUBBS, Elva J. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, Elva J. Chubbs of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband Wm. Charles; son Lloyd; grandson Wm. Lloyd; sisters: Myrtle and Verna; brother Cyril. Left to mourn, two daughters: Florence (Tom) Snow, Victoria, formerly of Wabush and Louise (John) Foote, Labrador City; one son Clarence (Phyllis), Carbonear; daughter-in-law Anna Mary (David) Follett, Labrador City; eleven grandchildren: Kenneth (Eileen), Wayne (Julie), Janice (Grant), Karen (Steve), Sheila (Chris), Chris (Denise), Lori (Shawn), Scott (Monica), Shawn, Jodi and Trevor; ten great-grandchildren: Kimberley, Jordan, Josh, Braydon, Ashton, Eric, April, Nathan, Austin and Lucas; three brothers: George (Mary) Pike and Harold (Elsie) Pike, both of Carbonear and Clifford (Janet) Pike, Oshawa, ON; two sisters: Winnifred (Jack) Kelloway, Salmon Cove and Muriel (John) Davis, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Margaret Pike, Shirley Chubbs and Melita Chubbs, all of Carbonear and Ena Chubbs, St. John's; brother-in-law Leslie (Nita) Chubbs, Carbonear; also a large number of other rela tives and friends. Archdeacon Iliffe Sheppard conducted the funeral service on Friday, May 27 at St. James Anglican Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. JANES, Robert - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear, Saturday, May 21, 2005, age 64 years. Predeceased by brother John and sister Louise. Left with fond and loving memories, wife of 37 years, Phelina; daughter Gloria (Chris Fong), Tilton, Kathy (Henry Richards), Shearstown; son Robert (Cindy) Janes, Tilton; sisters: Ruth (Hubert Meadus), Shearstown, Effie (Philip Hines), Upper Island Cove, Edna Rose and Gertie Sheppard both of Harbour Grace; brother George (Julia) Janes, Upper Island Cove; five grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. The Funeral Service took place Tuesday, May 24 at All Saints Anglican Church and Cemetery, Tilton. LANE, Agnes Theresa - Passed peacefully away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 22, 2005, Agnes Theresa Lane of Harbour Grace, age 83 years. Predeceased by husband Cornelius "Con" 1992. Left to mourn, three sons; Ronald, Montreal, PQ, Father Andrew, Toronto, ON and Gerard (Shirley), Creston South; two daughters: Ann Marie Lane, Cookville, Tennessee, USA and Helena Lane, Creston South with whom she resided; one sister Sister Helena Murphy, Presentation Convent, Cathedral Square, St. John's; her caregivers: Marguerite Cross, Creston South and Kathleen Cross, Lewin's Cove; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Fr. Andrew Lane conducted the funeral Mass on Thursday, May 26 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. NOEL, Daisy - Passed peacefully away on Sunday, May 8, 2005, Daisy Noel, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Noel; parents Charles and Sarah Parsons; sister Elsie and brother Maxwell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, four children: Llewellyn (Karen), Gloria (Alan) Raines, Stanley (Grace), John (Claudine); eight grandchildren: Kimberley, Craig, Sheri, Jennifer, Katherine, Stanley, Phillip and Bradley; six great-grandchildren: Niklas, Courtney, Sarah, Aaron, Sophia and Maxwell; sister Maude Babb; brother Chesley Parsons; nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral service was held at St. Peter's Church, Harbour Grace South, Thursday, May 12, 2005. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Peter's Church.

ROSE, Hughie G. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 16, 2005, Hughie G. Rose of Victoria, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents: Thomas and Phoebe; sister Lillian Penney; brothers: Herbert, Fred, Jack and Jim; brothers-in-law: Roy Kelloway and Gordon Penney. Left to mourn wife Annie; two daughters: Barbara (Ted) Milley, Labrador City and Bonnie Rose, Fernie, BC; four sons: Glen (Pearl), Victoria, John (Yvonne), Ajax, ON, Danny (Charlene), Gander and Barry (Debbie), Red Deer, AB; eight grandchildren: Darren, Dion, Michelene (Claude), Nicola, Lacey, Sabastien, Joelle and Wayne; two great-grandchildren: Christian and Ryan; four brothers: Thomas, Toronto, ON, Clarence (Ruby), Perris Cove, Aubrey (Eileen) and Vincent (Genevieve), both of Victoria; two sisters: Mildred Kelloway, Bay Roberts and Nattie (Stephen) Nolan, St. Mary's; sisters-in-law: Betty Rose, Gander, Helen Rose, Victoria and Eileen Linehan, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Pastor Geoffrey Ryan conducted the funeral service on Thursday, May 19 at Bethel Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Victoria. SWAIN, William Edmund - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, William Edmund Swain of Carboenar, age 84 years. Predeceased by sisters: Sarah M. and Vivian. Left to mourn, wife Dorothy A; one brother Bertram (Vema), Carbonear; brother-in-law James Power, Stephenville; a number of nephews, nieces, as well as other relatives and friends. Rev. Stephen Matthews conducted the funeral service on Saturday, May 28 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
