DOYLE, Edna - Passed peacefully away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 13, 2011, Edna Doyle of Northern Bay, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Joseph and Patricia Delaney; brother: Jack; sister-in-law: Jenny. Left to mourn, husband: Andrew; one son: Richard (Margaret), Gull Island; four daughters: Angela (Ramsey) Lambert and Debbie (Glen) Driscoll, both of Grates Cove, Marie Meadus (Ron Moses), New Brunswick and Patricia (Keith) Snelgrove, St. John's; 10 grandchildren: Andrea, Keith, Kristle, Keri, Nicole, Lee, Natasha, Emily, Riley and Cody; two greatgrandchildren: Andrew and Chloe; four brothers: Tom (Shirley), Raymond (Irene), Andrew (Janice) and Gerald (Lorraine); one sister: Genevive (Cyril) Delaney; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Fr. Pio Sumbilon conducted the funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 16 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Interment took place in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. GREENE, M. Tryphenia - Passed peacefully away at her residence on Thursday, March 3, 2011, M. Tryphenia Greene of Western Bay, age 91 years. Predeceased by: husband: William R.; parents: Fred and Phoebe Perry; sister: Julia Sickle; brothers: Fred and Eric. Left to mourn, daughter: Wendy Yvonne Greene, Toronto, ON; son: Fred Howard Greene, Western Bay; one brother: James (Helen) Perry, Winnipeg, MB; two sisters: Shirley (Ross Steele), St. John's and Phyllis McConnell, Carbonear; sister-in-law: Betty Perry, Mount Pearl; also a large number of other relatives and friends. LeGrow, Maude (Green) - Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St. John's on Monday, March 28, 2011, Maude (Green) LeGrow of Broad Cove North, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Matthew H.; grandson: Matthew D. LeGrow; brother: Rev. Bert ( Signe) Green; sisters: Lena ( Jim) Vanhyatt, Elizabeth 'Beth' ( Wycliffe) Robbins; brothers-in-law: Roy Moores and Spurgeon ( Arlene) LeGrow. Left to mourn, one daughter: Carolyn (Jim) Marshall, St. John's; one son: Dr. R. Bruce (Muriel) LeGrow, Linden, Texas; five grandsons: David (Janice), Marshall, Peter (Tina), Marshall, Anthony ( Jill), LeGrow, Steven (Letitia) LeGrow and Brian (Abigail) LeGrow; nine great-grandchildren; brother: Nicholas (Sophie) Green, Richmond, BC; sisterin-law: Mamie Moores, Broad Cove North; special friend: Sylvie LeGrow, Broad Cove North, and Maude's extended family of Angels at Chancellor Park who provided exceptional care during her 10 and half years stay; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. PEACH, Joseph M. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, March 7, 2011, Joseph M. Peach of Broad Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by wife: Marion; parents: Leonard and Julia. Left to mourn, two sons: Melvin (Daisy), Adams Cove and Tony (Jody), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Stephen (Tamara), Stacey (Corey), Kayla and Katie (Josh); one sister: Marie Hollett, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. ROOD, RUTH (Hue) - Passed away peacefully at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL on March 21, 2011, aged 92, after a long, fulfilling and happy life. Predeceased by her loving husband Rex [1996], brother Frank Hue (Marion), sister Florence (Chancey Currie), sister Grace (Bert Butt) and sister Mary (Fergie Vernon). She leaves with wonderful memories her daughter Susan and devoted son-in-law John Maunder of Pouch Cove, NL with whom she resided; sister-in-law Edith Rood, Dartmouth, NS; five nieces, three nephews, and three cousins; special friends Muriel Marshall, Clarke's Beach, NL, Phyllis and Jim Whelan, Clarke's Beach, NL, and Elsie Bowering, Coley's Point, NL; as well as many fond acquaintances. Ruth has donated her body to the Memorial University of Newfoundland School of Medicine for medical research. As per her wishes, there will be no memorial service. In memory of Ruth, please consider organ donation.

SPARKES, Mrs. Florence Jean - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, March 19, 2011, Mrs. Florence Jean Sparkes, aged 81 years, of Shearstown. Predeceased by her parents: Edward and Florence (nee Frost) Bradbury; husband: Graham Sparkes; son: Jimmy; great-grandchildren: twin girls, Andrea and Becky; brothers: Doug and Don (Mav); sister: Alice Brown; brothers-in-law: Marv Rowland and Ed Halder. Leaving to mourn three sons: Gary (Helen), Douglas (AnnMarie) and Terry (Verly); one daughter: Joy (Ron) Brazil; four sisters: Irene (Kevin) Joy, Ruth Rowland, Audrey Halder and Grace ( Johnny) Kay; two brothers: Bruce (Daphne) and Nelson (Marg); four grandchildren: Gary (Annette), Jennifer Sparkes (Chad Parsons), Lori and Rhodie (Andrea); seven great-grandchildren: Leah, Joy, Ryan, Kerstin, Liam, Joshua and Chloe; sisters-in-law: Rexine Bradbury, Annie Coddington (David - deceased) and Sharon (David - deceased) Sparkes; brothers-in-law: Max Brown, Tom (Mary) Sparkes and Reginald (Violet - deceased). Also home care workers Betty Smith and Maureen Bell; long-time employee and friend Dave Badcock and dear friends Ed and Val Hodder, Jean Hillyard and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Sunday, March 20 at 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, March 21 at 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Reverend Dean Sellars conducted the funeral service at Trinity United Church, Shearstown on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment was at United Church Cemetery, Shearstown. Pallbearers were Terry Sparkes, Gary Sparkes (Sr.), Douglas Sparkes, Gary Sparkes (Jr.), Chad Parsons and Ron Brazil. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts.

WISEMAN, Betty (nee Power) - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Betty Wiseman (nee Power) of Harbour Grace; formerly of South Wales, UK, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Edgar; daughter: Gloria; son-in-law: Ernest F. Allen Jr.; brothers: Frederick John and Albert; sisters: Molly, Margaret, Winnie and Joan. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Diane Allen, Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; one son: Robert (Alison), London, ON; son-in-law: Douglas Smith, St. John's; nine grandchildren: Jonathan (Debbie), Jason, Matthew, Darryl, Christine (Ryan), Stephanie, Heather (Kevin), Carlene and James; five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle, Nathan, Daniel and Nora; sisters-in-law: Helen Noseworthy and Olive Andrews, both of St. John's and Eleanor (James) Currenn, Ontario; brother-in-law: Robert Cole, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
