Bill Gosse skippered a fishing crew down on the Labrador until the early 1950's than worked as a carpenter in St. John's until his retirement in 1984. He was a lifelong gardener and berry picker, keen follower of current events and an enthusiastic sports fan. Those who knew him will especially remember his phenomenal memory and ability to tell a story, He was a family man first and foremost. His other loves were the coast of Labrador and the generations of people who inhabited Spaniard's Bay. He will be long remembered and sadly missed. He was a son of traditional Newfoundland.
