Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, Caroline I. 'Callie' Clarke of Carbonear, age 74 years. Predeceased by husband: Edgar; parents: Douglas and Peninnah Jackson; sister: Audrey McDougall; brothers-in-law: John Howell and Eric Clarke; niece: Marilyn Noges. Left to mourn, daughter: Michele (Gordon) Case, Mount Pearl; son: Colin (Heather), Carbonear; three grandchildren: Adam, Katelyn and Devon; three sisters: Elva (Stanley) Pye, Harbour Grace, Vera (Hector) Sooley, Heart's Delight and Janet (John C.) Pauls, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Grace Howell, St. John's and Barbara Clarke, Ottawa, ON; ten nieces and two nephews; special friends: Herman and Jeanette Walters, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Saturday, June 8 at from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, Cyril Joseph Fahey of Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: Edward and Lillian. Left to mourn, wife: Rose; two daughters: Corrina Fahey (Tony), St. John's and Charlene (Wade) Bradbury, Upper Island Cove; four grandchildren: Devan, Benjamin, Olivia and Nicholas; three brothers: Kevin (Marion) and Terry (Judy), both of Carbonear, Raymond, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; three sisters: Idella McCarthy and Cecilia (Keith) Abbott, both of Carbonear and Sadie (Gordon) Noseworthy, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Joan (Glen) Clarke and Mary (Gary) Curnew, both of Victoria, Philomena (John) Parsons, Harbour Grace, Jeanette (Brian) Holwell, Corner Brook, Marilyn (Gary) Rumsey, Chamberlains and Lorraine (Mark) Lily, Paradise; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 20, 2013, Gwen Oates, floral designer/business woman of Carbonear. Predeceased by parents: Frederick and Tamar Horwood. Left to mourn, husband: Carl; brothers: Gary (Pauline) Horwood and Eric (Catherine) Horwood; sister-in-law: Barbara (Tom) Sullivan; nieces: Krista, Kimberley, Erica, Andrea, Heather; nephew: Shane; and grandniece: Hailey; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to express its deepest thanks to the health professionals who treated and nursed her through her sixteen year medical ordeal and to all her friends and survivors who faced the journey with her. Passed suddenly and unexpectedly in Thornhill, Ontario, Edward James ('Ted' and 'Odie') aged 52 years; formerly of Carbonear. Predeceased by parents: John G.W. and Mabel I. Rorke. Left to mourn brothers: John (Jackie) Rorke, St. John's, Gene Rorke, Centre Rawdon, NS and Neil Rorke, Carbonear; as well as extended family and a wide circle of friends in Carbonear and Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ted's life will take place on Saturday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Inurnment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
