Passed peacefully away at Health Sciences Centre, St John's on Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Franklin D.R. Baggs of Bay Roberts, aged 67 years. Predeceased by parents: Roland and Grace Baggs (nee Littlejohn). Leaving to mourn: son David (Stephanie) Baggs, daughter Donna (Shannon) Dawson, brother James (Lulu) Baggs, dear friend and partner Goldie Reynolds, 5 grandchildren: Andrew, Adam, Noah, Hannah and Charlie, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Bernice Spracklin conducted the funeral service at Central United Church, Bay Roberts on Monday, June 18, 2012. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Pallbearers were Darrell Tucker, Harvey Priddle, Arthur Badcock jr., Jeff Mullins, Clarence Russell and James Gosse.

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 7, 2012, Myrtle Burden of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Leonard, son: Leonard, brothers: Cecil, Norman, George, Edward and Marvin, sisters: Ruby and Janie. Left to mourn, two daughters: Vivian, Victoria and Peggy, Cambridge, ON; two sons: David (Nellie) and Jerry (Yvonne), both of Victoria; daughter-in-law: Maxine, Harbour Grace; eight grandchildren: Scott, Kenneth (Christine), Clark (Tina), Keith (Melanie), Peter (Sue), Glen (Cindy), Penny (Roland) and Robert (Robyn); eleven great-grandchildren: Hailey, Noah, Charles, Emily, Tyler, Faith, Mackenzie, Hannah, Olivia, Liam and Jacob; brother: Herbert (Kay) King, Glace Bay, NS; sister: Vivian O'Neill, Oshawa, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Pastor Deano Young conducted the Funeral service on Saturday, June 9 at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, Carbonear. Bruce Foote
of Carbonear who passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Monday, June 4, 2012. Mr. Foote was 75 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: Wife Ada Foote, Children Brenda (Barry), Keith (Faye) and Jason (Alyson), Grandchildren Jennifer, Alyson, Laura, Cecile, Benjamin, Megan and Matthew. Brothers and Sisters: Boyd (Millicent) Foote, Joe (Hattie) Foote, Mildred (Sterling) Shave, Robert (Vicki) Foote, John (Ruth) Bugden, Linda (Norm) Norris and David (Ann Marie) Foote Predeceased by: Parents: Joseph and Maria Foote Brothers: Gerald Keith and Walter Mr. Foote was a very active volunteer in his community especially, with the Carbonear Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion BR 23. The funeral service took place at Bethany United Church interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear, on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Rested at Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bruce Foote Memorial Fund. Left to mourn, three granddaughters: Gail (Wayne) Milley, Alberta, Maxine LeShane (Darrell Kieley), Goulds and Judy LeShane (Jim Clarke), Lower Island Cove; seven great-grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley), Neil, Kelsey, Randi Lee, Andrea, Renee and Rebecca; two brothers: Charles Cull, Caplin Cove and Raymond Cull, Victoria; sister-in-law: Barb Cull, Old Perlican; special nieces: Hilda and Jean; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Hayward and Rebecca Wheadon, sister: Doris Crocker, brothers: Chesley and Allan, step-brother: Everett. Left to mourn, husband: Louis 'Duke'; six daughters: Sandra (Baxter) Snelgrove, Lower Island Cove, Juanita (Wayne) Crocker, Old Perlican, Berdina (William) Royal, Lower Island Cove, Beverley (John) Clarke, Lunenburg, NS, Arlene Milley, Burnt Point and Lisa (Ken) March, Brownsdale; three sons: Brenden (Joan), and Derek, both of Burnt Point and Wayne (Gail), Lower Island Cove; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister: Olive (Ivor) Noftle, Broad Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. . After a short battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Max Sooley, of Hearts Content. Max is survived by his wife of 60 years Jean and his children: Dave (Charlene), Ida, Greg (Bonnie), Curtis (Leanne), Al (Lynn), Rick (Ellen), and Audrey (Eugene) as well as 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Max is also survived by his siblings Sadie (Alec Rowe), Mabel (Jack Smith), and Beattie all of Hearts Content, NL and his brother-in-law Curtis Benson (Jane) of Calgary AB. Max is predeceased by his parents Ralph & Elsie, his grandson Paul Bouchard, his sisters Greta and Ida (Reg Evely), his brother Lloyd (Rose) and his brother-in-law Doug Benson. Cremation has taken place and at Max's request a private memorial will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Left to mourn this immense loss his loving wife, lifelong soul mate and best friend: Linda (nee Noseworthy); son Craig (Jennifer) and grandson, Poppy's little man, Jacob; Labrador City; daughter: Krista (Gerard) Delaney, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; brothers: Ted (Helen) Whelan, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Tony (Rhonda) Morrissey, Mississauga, ON, Joe (Carrie) Morrissey, Cambridge, ON and Jimmy (Lisa) Whalen, Milton, ON; sister: Sharon (Roger) Reeves, Spaniard's Bay; step-mother: Mary Whalen (Gus Clarke), Harbour Grace South; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Alfreda) Noseworthy, Whitby, ON, Jack (Sandra) Noseworthy, Doreen (George) French and Bernice (Jerome) McGrath, all of Harbour Grace; a large circle of nieces and nephews who dearly loved and admired their uncle Steve; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles in the Whelan and Hearn families and friends too countless to name.
