CLEARY, Alice - Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John's on Saturday, June 12, 2010, Alice Cleary of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Richard; parents: William and Christina Reynolds; brothers: Frank, Bernard, Tom, William and Richard "Dick" and eight sisters-in-law. Left to mourn with loving memories, four daughters: Thedie (Chuck) Parisi, St. John's, Cabrini Miller and Bernice (Stephen) Hearn, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Paula (Gary) Browne, St. John's, one son: Mac (Maxine), Summerland, BC; fifteen grandchildren: Nicole (Greg), Robert (Margaret) Connie (Brian), Nancy (Seth), Chris (Kelly), Terry (Linda), Tony, Richard (Crystal), Christopher (Pam), Danielle, Greg (Pippa) John (Kerri), Niki, Peter (Estelle) and Andrea (Ross); fourteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Rose Reynolds, Gander; special friend: Rita Shugarue, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff of Pratt Place and Fairhaven for their excellent care and all those who helped Mommy Cleary on her journey. Fr. Bill Hearn and Fr. F.J. Aylward conducted the funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 15 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. MOORE, Wellington 'Duke'- Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Friday, June 11, 2010, Wellington 'Duke' Moore of Western Bay, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents Henry and Sarah; sister: Barbara Jean MacDonald. Left to mourn, common law wife: Sandra; one son: Jason Moore, Nova Scotia; two nephews: Robert (Shelly) MacDonald and Keith (Elaine) MacDonald, both of Nova Scotia; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, June 15 at Noel's Funeral home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Inurnment took place in the United Cemetery, Western Bay South. Moores, Robert Emerson - Passed peacefully away at the Leonard Miller Center on Saturday, June 5, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, aged 88 years, Robert Moores. Predeceased by his spouse, Lucinda (Strangemore) and his parents, Robert and Agnes Moores of Small Point. Leaving with fond and loving memories are his two sons, Bruce (Judy) and Neil (Catherine); grandchildren Kim, Greg and Mark; one brother, Herbert (Joyce); brother and sister-in-laws: Jack Batstone, Mary Jane Burt, Jeremiah Strangmore (Ethel), Job Stangemore (Elizabeth), Norman Strangmore (Myra), Clifford Strangmore (Dora), Vera Strangemore and Florence Strangemore (Paul). Also leaving to mourn special friend Eva and longtime friend and neighbor, Irene Bursey.

Pottle, Albert L. 'Les' - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, June 26, 2010, Albert L. 'Les' Pottle of Salmon Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by Parents: Albert and Alice Pottle; sisters: Kathleen, Florrie, Nina, Allison and Ada; brother: Kenneth. Left to mourn, wife: Viola; two brothers: Oliver, New Hampshire and Reuben, St. John's; two sisters: Annie Watson, Toronto, ON and Lavinia Rees, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jesse Bown conducted the funeral service on Tuesdeay, June 29 at the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. Predeceased by father: Lionel; parents-in-law: Florence and Roy Noel; brother-in-law: George Murray. Left to mourn, wife: Lynne; one daughter: Kayla Priddle, Victoria; step-daughter: Melodie Noel, Carbonear; one son: Lionel, Victoria; the joy of his life, grandson: Nicholas Noel; mother: Geneva Priddle, Victoria; three brothers: Pastor Job (Helen), Kingston, ON, Kevin, Victoria and Wade (Rhoda), Sarnia, ON; three sisters: Nelda (Reg) Pardy, Leamington, ON, Marie Murray, Victoria and Valerie (Kevin) Hunter, Barrie, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Pastor Geoffrey Ryan conducted the funeral service on Thursday, Jun 24 at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Cremation took place. Predeceased by wife: Bertha (Thistle), brothers: William, Melvin and Earl; sisters: Hilda, Fanny and Lizzie. Left to mourn: two daughters: Barbara (Allan) Somers, Ochre Pit Cove and Carol (George) Hogan, Carbonear; one son: Vernon (Ann) Pond, Markham, ON; three grandchildren: Blair (Danielle), Kimberly (Carol) and Amanda (Jonah), eight great grandchildren: Nathan, Cameron, Arek, Carter, MacKenze, Allan, Hudson and Lily; brothers: Rev. Berkley (Velma) and Walter (Sarah), both of Carbonear and Clyde (Gloria), Toronto, ON; sister: Jennie Pye, St. John's, sister-in-law: Marguerite Reynolds, Colorado, USA; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relataives and friends. SMITH, BAXTER C - Passed suddenlv away at the Carbonear General Hospital on June 4, 2010, Mr. Baxter C.Smith of Bishop's Cove. in his 67th year. He is predeceased by his wife Carmelita; parents John and Violet; brothers Fred, Warren and Eric. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters Judy Whitten (Stewart), Mount Pearl and Jackie Lynch (Graham), Shearstown; grandchildren Jeremy and Tristan: special friend Betty Smith: sisters; Clara Coombs (John), Mary Follett (Henry), Shirley Jones (Eleazor), Marjorie Bennett (Colin) and Flornce Mercer (Josiah) and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at the United Church, Harbour Graceon Tuesday, June 8, 2010 with intennent at the United Church Cemetery, Spaniards Bay. SMITH, Laura J. - Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hopital on Monday, June 28, 2010, Mrs. Laura J. Smith of Tilton, NL, in her 86th year. She is predeceased by her husband, Moses, parents Joseph and Alfreda Roberts, daughter, Evelyn Sheppard, brother, Gordon, sisters Evelyn Drover, Hazel Verge. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter, Geraldine (Harry Richards) of Tilton, son Freeman (Eileen) of Victoria, Gordon (Sharon) of Cambridge, Ont., Terry (Marjorie) of Clarke's Beach, Wallace of Woodstock, Ont. Sisters Olive Sheppard and Florence Pynn, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service took place from All Saints Anglican Church in Tilton on Thursday, July 1, 2010 followed by interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Tilton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay.

SULLIVAN, Clarence L.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Clarence L. Sullivan of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents: Leo and Mary; brothers: Ronnie and Michael; sister: Cynthia; infant sister. Left to mourn: one daughter: Tracy McMurray (Shawn), Oakville, ON; two grandchildren: Makayla and Quinton; five brothers: Harold (Loretta), Leo (Mary), Gerald (Mavis), Demott (Judy) and Joe (Judy), all of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; five sisters: Nellie (Bert) Morgan, Diane (Gerald) Callahan, Catherine (Lorne) Petten and Alice (Edward) McCarthy, all of Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Elaine (James) Porter, Port de Grave; special friend: Mary and her son Brandon; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
