PENNEY, David Karl
Passed on: July 30th, 2018

Passed away suddenly at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, July 30, 2018, David Karl Penney of Jamestown, aged 53 years. Predeceased by his parents Hector and Vera Penney. Left with fond and loving memories Aunt Nellie Butt (Guy) St. John's; Aunt Jean Smart (Fred) Scarborough, ON; Uncle Paul Dykeman (Doris), Oshawa, ON. There are so many cousins, their children and friends with small children, whom he adored, far too many to mention individually, that had a special relationship with David; you know who you are. These memories will last throughout your life. First and foremost a big Thank You goes to Marion Moss of Jamestown (2nd Mom since July 2007) and her entire family for providing tender loving care, moral support, no questions asked, where the door was never locked to David. Certainly it helped him cope with the loss of his Mother. David had a big heart and was very loving, sort of a big "Teddy Bear" with a gentle touch that helped so many seniors and friends by driving them to appointments, or helping wherever he could. He was always there for them, no matter the hour, just ask. He had a special gift, like no other, in fact he was a true genius when it came to putting words together for a song right on the spot, or fantastic one-liners. Always singing, always happy - his own words "I'm Perfect" when asked how he was. He will always be sadly missed. On behalf of all our families Jacquie Crewe, Cousin. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge with cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date. In his memory flowers accepted or a donation may be made to the family for expenses with the balance going to St. James Anglican Church, Jamestown, NL.
