Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, Sadie J. Clarke of Victoria, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband: Eleazer; infant granddaughter: Mary; parents: John and Mary Butt; sisters: Violet and Winnie; brother: Hubert. Left to mourn, six daughters: Mary (Randell) Tarrant, Joyce (Bill) Chamberlain and Jocelyn Clarke, all of Guelph, ON, Linda (Edward) Peckham, Salmon Cove, Mildred (Bill) Snow, Bay Roberts and Rhonda (Larry) Henry, Fergus, ON; three sons: Eleazer (Jane), Cambridge, ON, Curtis (Karen), Edmonton, AB and Randy (Darice), Grand Prairie, AB; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother: John 'Jack' (Marion) Butt, Carbonear; brother-in-law: Basil (Betty) Clarke, Lewisporte; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Pastor Andy Lane conducted the funeral service on Saturday, July 13 at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment was in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL or to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, July 27, 2013, Helen M. Fortune of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 73 years. Predeceased by father: John Sullivan; brothers: Don and Gordon. Left to mourn, husband: William 'Bill'; three sons: Brian (Sareen), Nova Scotia, Gary (Natasha), Harbour Grace and Barry, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother: Anna Sullivan, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; three brothers: Edward (Viola) Sullivan, South River, Maurice (Marg) Sullivan, Sunnyside and Gerard Sullivan, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; one sister: Frances (Charlie) Rogers, Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law: Mike (Ann) Fortune and Family, Carbonear; Sean Fortune, Bishop's Falls; sister-in-law: Leonnie Fortune, Bishop's Falls, Winnie Sullivan, Bay Roberts and Helen Sullivan, Harbour Grace; special friend: Bea Parsons, Harbur Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Left to mourn, wife: Karen; two sons: Craig and Dylan, both of Carbonear; parents: Roy and Frances, Carbonear; two brothers: Gary (Tanya), Halifax, NS and Paul, Bay Roberts; one sister: Barbara (Gerry) Smith, Carbonear; parents-in-law: Warrick and Vera Young, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Daphne (Wayne) James, Bryant's Cove, Jeanette Pike (Terry Young), Carbonear, Edwina (John) Priddle, Victoria, Janice (David) Rossiter, Carbonear and Maryann (Alex) Slade, Yellowknife, NWT; brothers-in-law: Scott (Brenda) Young, Carbonear, Keith (Colleen) Young, Hinton, AB and Warrick Jr. (Mary) Young, Bay Roberts and his old buddy 'RANGER'; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Willis and Clara; brothers: Harry and Donald; sisters: Annie and Nellie. Left to mourn, special niece: Sharon Van Tighem, Beaumont, AB; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family received relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral service took place on Monday, July 29 from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Inurnment was in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
