Passed in: Carbonear, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Passed on: January 10th, 2018
Mrs. Louise Dawe
, 82 of Coley's Point, Bay Roberts, passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, in the arms of daughter Charlene and Edgar, her husband of 61 years, by her side. Also, deeply mourning her loss are Deborah and Grant whose special needs for her, were never a challenge; only grandbaby Allana Louise; sister Faith (Dave) Pushman; 1st cousins Dr. Phil (Elizabeth) LeFever, whom she thought of as the "brother" she never had and Clifford (Carol) Smith; sisters & brothers-in-law: John (Maxine Dawe who checked in on her at least once a day, Shirl Bowering, Janet (Lewis) Gosse, Gladys (Leslie) Lynch, Allan (Marjorie) Dawe & Sandra (Harry) Roach & Steven Roach, Allana's Dad. Everyone did what they could. Also mourning her loss are her many special nieces & nephews and friends both near and far, that felt as though she was also their "other mother, auntie, sister or grammy." She was so very loved.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A "Gathering to Share Special Memories" is being planned for a later date.
Donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Newfoundland or to a charity of one's choice.

O'LEARY, Edward Benjamin

Edward Benjamin O'Leary
passed away at the Miller Centre, St. John's on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Mr. O'Leary was 55 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: FiancĂ©e Arlene Martin, son Daniel O'Leary, daughter Alicia (Michael) Hopkins, special granddaughter Ava Hopkins, sister Elizabeth (Colin) Ralph, brothers Patrick O'Leary, James (Diane) O'Leary, Peter (Linda) O'Leary and John O'Leary, nieces and nephews: Krista, Jamie, Shanna, Andrew, Mya and Noah, in-laws: Paul and Pam Martin, Paula (Mark) Murray, Nora and Erin Murray, James Pretty, and Milla Martin. Predeceased by precious baby to Arlene and Edward, parents Dennis and Kathleen O'Leary, brother Dennis O'Leary, nephews Stephen Rowe and Shane O'Leary, and special people in his life Marilyn Pretty and Roy Martin. A special thank you to Stephanie Pitcher for all your help during the past few months. The funeral mass took place Monday, January 8, 2018, at St. Patrick's R.C. Church & Cemetery, Carbonear. The family received relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Edward O'Leary Memorial Fund.
