Passed peacefully away at Lion's Manor, Placentia, on Monday, January 4, 2016, Jean Clarke of Carbonear, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Carmel Jordan; brothers: Donald and Kevin; sisters: Helen (Patrick) Donnelly and Ruth Jordan; parents-in-law: Allan and Minnie; brother-in-law: Alec Slade. Left to mourn, husband: Wayne; special grand-nephew: David Donnelly, Cambridge, ON; five brothers: William (Mary) Jordan, Hr. Grace, Gerald (Catherine) Jordan, Corner Brook, Clarence (Susan) Jordan, Hr. Grace, Jerome (Christine) Jordan, Mississauga, ON and Gordon (Val) Jordan, Hr. Grace; one sister: Shirley (Roger) Chipman, Kingston, NS; sisters-in-law: Linda Slade (Darryl), Victoria, Lorraine (Oscar) Rose, Salmon Cove, Christine (Ed) Warford, Clarenville, Beverley (Sam) Slade, Carbonear, Mary (Leo) Sullivan and Patricia Jordan, both of Riverhead, Hr. Grace; brother-in-law: Don Jerrett, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear Fr. Clem Flaherty conducted the funeral mass on Wednesday, January 6 from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Hr. Grace. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment to be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL, 107-835 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 3J6 or online at www.alzheimer.ca/en/nl. JENKINS, Leah
Passed on: January 18th, 2016
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce another Angel has received her wings. Leah Jenkins, known to most as Aunt Leah, eldest child of the late William and Susanna Collins of Victoria, NL was received into God's heavenly arms on Monday, January 18, 2016. She leaves to mourn her children: Brenden (Shirley), Jane, Albert (June), Robert, Rudy (Doreen), Claudine, Marilyn, Caroline (Ron), Wade (Denise), Clyde (Leone) and Roy; daughters-in-law: Joanne and Joan; brothers: Will (Elsie) and Wilson (Florence); brother-in-law: Randolph; sisters-in-law: Jenny, Mary and Claudine (Howard); 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends from NL to BC and beyond. Special niece, friend and confidant, whom she loved dearly and who, when said "Give Aunt Leah a kiss and hug from me" always put a smile on Mom's face. Predeceased by husband; Alex (1961); parents: William and Susanna, sons: Vern and Buster (James); sons-in-law: Blair and John; grandchildren: Richard, Justin and Allen; siblings: Molly, Lizzie (Harold), Linda, Hayward, Ada and William and brother-in-law: Howard. The funeral service took place at Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. The Family received relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear, Friday and Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to Bethany United Church. PERRY, Gertrude M. Flight

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 8, 2016, Gertrude M. Flight Perry of Broad Cove, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents: Richard and Violet Flight. Left to mourn, one son: Paul Flight, Broad Cove; granddaughter: Ashley Perry; two brothers: Eric Flight, Ontario and Earl (Shirley) Flight, Buchans; one sister: Yvonne (Eric) LeGrow, Salmon Cove; aunt: Sophie Flight, St. John's; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the Funeral Service on Sunday, January 10 at Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment was in the United Church Cemetery, Broad Cove. VERGE, Gordon

Passed on: January 5th, 2016

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, Gordon Richard Verge of Harbour Grace, age 45 years. Predeceased by grandparents: Olive and Richard Crocker; George and Hazel Verge; niece: Victoria Susan Verge. Leaving to mourn, spouse: Mary Dawe; daughter: Angel Verge (Stephen), Harbour Grace; son: Tyler Gordon Verge, Moncton, NB; parents: Gordon and Mary Verge, Harbour Grace; grandson: Aiden; one brother: Blair Verge (Josie), Alberta; two sisters: Wendy (Michael) Haynes and Mandy Verge (Paul), both of Harbour Grace; special friends: Walter and Lorraine King, St. John's; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral service took place on Saturday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Gordon Richard Verge Memorial Fund, c/o Noel's Funeral Home, P.O.
