LUNDRIGAN - Peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock. Ontario on Monday, January 18, 2010. Walter L. Lundrigan of Woodstock in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Kathleen Lundrigan (nee Sinfield); Dear father of Dianne Fuller (Brian) of Arthur, James Lundrigan (Cheryl) of Woodstock, Clifford Lundrigan (Joanne) of Vancouver and Christine Young (Steve) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Stephen (Michelle). Becky (Roger), Tyler and Mallory and great grandfather of Michael, Aaron, Kaelyn and Gaven. Dear brother of Joe Lundrigan (Jessie) and Betty Smith (Alf). Predeceased by his son Rick Lundrigan and brother Rex Lundrigan. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. PILGRIM, Edward - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Edward Pilgrim of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by infant son: George; parents: Harold and Bessie; brothers-in-law: James O'Flaherty, Clifford Nelson and Frank Clarke. Left to mourn, wife: Myrtle; one daughter: Karen Milley (Marston), Carbonear; one son: Calvin (Cavell), North River; three grandchildren: Kurt, Vickie and Bruce; one great-grandchild: Jaden; one brother: Bonnell (Alma), Carbonear; six sisters: Nina Nelson, Florida, USA, Doreen (Norman) Parsons, Gander, Dorothy Clarke, Kaye O'Plaherty and Prances Pilgrim (Janet), all of Ontario and Marie (Ken) Tiley, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Majors Wilbert and Joan Hopkins conducted the funeral service on Saturday, January 30 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbon ear. Interment took place in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. RIGGS, Thomas - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, January 11, 2010, Thomas Riggs of Bay De Verde, age 80 years Predeceased by parents: Andrew and Margaret; brothers: Cyril, Daniel and Paul; sisters: Bridget and Julia. Left, to mourn, wife: Charlotte; two daughters Margaret Riggs and Jackie (Gerard) Broderick, both of Bay de Verde; four sons: Alex (Suzanna), Ottawa, Ontario, Danny, Whitby, Ontario, Ross (Pete), Toronto, Ontario and Carl (Karen), Bay de Verde; seven grandchildren: Jonathan, Nicholas, David, Kyle, Shawn (Kathy), Megan and Kevin; two great-grandchildren: Noah and Isabella; one sister: Alice Walsh, Bay de Verde; also a large number of other relatives and friends. RUSSELL, Mr. Herbert - Passed peacefully away at his late residence Coley's Point on Sunday, January 31, 2010, Mr. Herbert Maxwell Russell of Coley's Point, aged 87 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Rosely Russell (nee Beecham); daughter: Rosalind, died in infancy. Leaving to mourn wife: Rosalie Russell (nee Roach; son: Doug (Audrey); daughters: Karen Petten (Jason) and Judy (Barry) Porter; sister: Vira Connor (Mundon); brother: Clayton (Gertie) Russell; grandchildren: Mark and Robyn Russell, Jillian Porter and Stacey Petten as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev'd Dean Sellars conducted the funeral service at Grace United Church, Coley's Point on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Interment was at Grace United Church Cemetery, Coley's Point. Funeral arrangements were by Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Pallbearers were Doug Russell (son), Mark Russell (grandson), Clayton Russell (brother), Keith Russell (nephew), Edsel Roach (nephew), Paul Barrett (family member).

TAYLOR, Effie - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Effie Taylor of Bristol's Hope. age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: William H.; parents: Archibald and Agnes Peddle; brothers: Albert, George and Harry; sisters: Lillian, Catherine, Mary, Olive and Helen. Left to mourn, two daughters: Pauline (Cal) Penney, Bristol's Hope and Shirley Taylor-Rind, Toronto, ON; grandson: Juergen Rind; great-granddaughter: Katarina Rind, granddaughter-in-law: Lisa Rind and son-in-law: Karl Rind, all of Ontario; three sisters: Edith Butt, Carbonear, Asseniath Rose, Salmom Cove and Thelma Gillard, Ontario; three sisters-in-law: Evelyn Taylor, Ida (Gordon) Skinner and Berdina Peddle; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Russell Small conducted the funeral service on Saturday, January 23 at Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace. Interment took place in Coughlan United Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Mackey and Mary C. Mackey (Moore) and sister-in-law: Kathleen Mackey. Left to mourn her passing are sisters: Mary (James) Fleming of WA U.S.A., Margaret (Thomas) Beckham of FL USA. Patricia (James) Prendergast of Carbonear, NL; brothers: John (Marie) of Grand Falls. NL, Paul of Alberta and Leo of Carbonear, NL, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place with burial arrangements to be announced.
