Predeceased by husband: Donald; parents: George and Eva Atkins; parents-in-law: Lemuel and Doris Barrett; sister-in-law: Emmie; brothers-in-law: Selby; John and Irving. HATCH, Lawrence Joseph - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Home, Carbonear on January 15, 2008 in the presence of his loving wife, Lawrence Hatch of Red Head Cove, age 90 years. Predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Marcella (Mae); infant sister: Mary; brother: Ronald; in laws: Maurice Quinlan, Leo Pelletier, Frances and Art Duggan, Joseph and Sis Martin and Jack and Cecile Martin. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Margaret; sisters: Marcella (Quinlan), Clara (Bernard Hyde), Theresa (Pelletier); sisters-in-law: Josephine and Mary (Bill Chafe) and a very large circle of relatives, friends and special home care workers. Funeral service took place Thursday, January 17, 2008 from the Parish of the Assumption Church, Bay de Verde. Uncle Lar, as he was known to so many will be forever remembered for his wonderful generous nature, love of children, patience, sense of humour and genuine love of life.
