Left to mourn, brother-in-law: Roy Price, Port Rexton; sister-in-law: Myrtle Turner, Winnipeg; a number of nephews, a niece, cousins and other relatives and friends. Capt. Weldon Hayward and Major Donna Hayward conducted the funeral service on Friday, February 3 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Thursday, February 16, 2012, Ms. Sheila Rice aged 70 years, from Red Head Cove, NL. Predeceased by her husband Paul Rice, parents Nicholas and Elizabeth Gushue, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Maud Rice, sister Mary Conners (Tom) and sister-in-law Frances Wicks. Left to mourn Sons: Boyd (Dionne), Darren (Joanne), Frankie (Pauline) and Mario (Melanie); grandchildren: Darrell, Deanne, Nicole, Austin, Addison and expectant grandchild; step grandchildren: Travis and Tiffany Morrison; brothers: Billy Kennedy (Judy) and Fr. Pat Kennedy; five sister-in-laws: Mary (Edmund), Rose (Tom, deceased) Ann, Joan (Sal, deceased), Eve and one brother-in-law: Frank, special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also an extended circle of family and friends including relatives and friends of Conception Harbour. Funeral service was held Tuesday, February 21st from St. Anne's Catholic Church, Red Head Cove. Inurnment followed in the Catholic Cemetery, Bay de Verde. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hopkins Funeral Home, Old Perlican. RUSHTON, George - Passed peacefully away in the presence of family on February 7, 2012, George Rushton, aged 68. Remembering him with love and fond memories are: daughter, Marilla (Alan), sons George and Matthew (Cynthia); grandchildren, Caleb and Annabelle; special friends: Susan and Graeme Spencer and Debbie and Bill Allen and all those who knew him through the years in England, Newfoundland and New Brunswick. Special remembrance to the community of Shearstown where he taught music for many years and to the Parish of Glenview United Church where he was the church organist. Burial service at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Shearstown was held on Tuesday, February 14 at 2 pm. Memorial Service in New Brunswick at Glenview United Church on February 20.
