CHUBBS, Shirley A. - Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, Shirley A. Chubbs of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband: Joseph; daughter: Laura. Left to mourn, two daughters: Donna (Peter) Dooley, Carbonear and Cathy (Derek) Oates, Corner Brook; two sons: Glenn (Wanda), Mount Pearl and Lloyd (Loriann), Carbonear; six grandchildren: Chastity (Andrew), Brian, Cheryl, Rebecca, Chelsea and Claire; one great-granddaughter: Ella; one brother: Chester Murray, Carbonear; three sisters: Helen Barrett, Carbonear, Irene (Edward) Taylor and Maxine Seymour, both of Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Nita Chubbs, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Friday, February 25 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in Shirley's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. CLARKE, Raymond G. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, Raymond G. Clarke of Victoria, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Edward and Lily; brothers: Albert, Wilfred, Percival, Maxwell and Ivan. Leaving to mourn, six brothers: Roy (Ida), Llewellyn, Leslie (Florence) and Junior (Barbara), Bruce (Arlene), all of Victoria, Lloyd (Lois), Cambridge, ON and Bruce (Arlene), Victoria; three sisters: Jessie Clarke, Toronto, ON, Sophie Wheeler, Victoria and Erma (Clifford) Penney, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Cynthia Clarke, Carbonear and Florence Clarke, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Jesse Bown conducted the funeral service on Saturday, February 19 at the United Church, Victoria. Emberley, Mrs. Eliza (nee Harrington) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eliza. Mrs. Emberley passed away on February 6, 2011, at the Carbonear General Hospital. Mrs. Emberley was in her 84th year. Predeceased by Husband: Kevin Emberley (2008); Parents: Nicholas & Ellen Harrington; Sisters: Josephine Barnes (Edward), Frances & Marie Brother: Maurice Harrington; sister-in-law of: Peter Emberley, Tom Emberley (Beulah), Florence Preston (Corbett) & Pat Emberley; Cousins: Paddy, Tom and Willie McCarthy. Leaving to mourn nieces & nephew: Margaret Barnes, Jeanie Laforge (Tim), Edward Barnes (Uni), Marion Goudie (Ken) & Eileen Bittles (Rob); Sister-in-law to: Max Emberley (Alice) & Margaret Carroll (Cyril); Nieces & nephews: Janet Preston, Bonnie Preston (Gary Densmore) and Linda Ruskell (Tim), Michael Emberley (Darlene), Paul Emberley (Paula), James Emberley (Deanne), Dianne Fitzgerald, Marilyn Cull ( Jim), Catherine Evans (Ed), Susan Emberley, Joe Carroll (Colleen), Terry Carroll ( Dela), Tom Carroll (Marieke), Anne Marie Carroll (Andres Basante), Anita Carroll (Basaam Eid), Linda, Sharon & Debbie Emberley; Cousins: Drucella McCarthy, Fred McCarthy & Agnes Neville. Eliza was an avid Chicago Blackhawks' fan and made her day when they won the Stanley Cup last year. Eliza loved the outdoors and looked forward to her opportunities for trouting. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The funeral mass took place on Thursday, Feb. 10 from St. Patrick's R.C. PEACH, Mildred - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, Mildred Peach of Carbonear, age 94 years. Predeceased by husband: T. A. Clayton; son: Byron; brothers: Albert and Herbert Noel; sister: Alyson Pottle. Left to mourn, one daughter: Sylvia Peach, Carbonear; one son: Barry (Brenda), Carbonear; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Alyson and Laura; one brother: Selby Noel, Toronto, ON; one sister: Emily O'Grady, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Leslie) Slade, Sydney, NS and Jean Casteel, South Dakota, USA; special friend: Dorothy Gillingham, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Patrick and Annie Harrington; brother: Jack Harrington. Left to mourn, husband: Donald; two daughters: Lynette Bickford, Winnipeg, MB and Debbie ( Ray) Marshall, St. John's; five sons: Boyd, Don, Tony, all of Victoria, Robert ( Sharon), Salmon Cove and Barry ( Maureen), St. John's; eight grandchildren: Christopher, Angelina, Ian, Gary, Barry, Victoria, Cassandra and Zachary; four brothers: Joe Harrington, Morris Harrington, Bill Harrington and Patrick Harrington; five sisters: Nora Collins, Elizabeth Hinks, Marcella Harrington, Mary Paynter and Margaret Reid; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
