Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, Anne M. Hennessey of Harbour Grace, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: James and Susan, sisters: Betty and Carmel (Mike), brothers: Bill, Tom, Robert (Darlene) and Jim; brothers-in-law: Lloyd and Austin. Left to mourn, spouse: John; sisters-in-law: Bertha Hennessey, Flowers Cove, Mary Hennessey, St. John's, Agnes Hennessey, Harbour Grace, Meda Pye, Labrador, Ena (Lloyd) Pye, Stephenville, Mary Lunnen and Georgina Lunnen, both of Mary's Harbour; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Fr. Clem Flaherty conducted the Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 31 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment was in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, December 10, 2015, Tom Oates of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: Tom and Mollie; sister: Sybil Wright; brother: Art; sisters-in-law: Beatrice and Marjorie Oates and brothers-in-law: C.B. Wright, Bob Thorne and Ralph Howell. Left to mourn, two sons: Keith (Linda), Carbonear and Tom, Alberta, and their mother, Mary Ann Roberts-Oates; two grandchildren: Ashley (Steven) and Jonathan; two great-grandchildren: Maddie and Riley; five brothers: Bill (Clara) and Cecil, both of Carbonear, Dereck (Cathy), Corner Brook, Melvin, Roaches Line and Ted (Greta), Carbonear; two sisters: Vickie Thorne, Carbonear and Joyce (Jim) Crowley, New Brunswick; sister-in-law: Marie Oates, Carbonear; brother-in-law: George (Judy) Roberts, Brigus; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Monday, December 14 from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Cremation took place. Mrs. Alma Parsons
of Upper Island Cove passed away at the Pentecostal Home in Clarke's Beach on Monday, December 1, 2015. Mrs. Parsons was 96 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving family: children Graham (Margaret), Susie, Betty, Greta, Bob (Mary), Randolph (Corine), Marina (George), Jessie (Leonard) and Paul (Pauline); 30 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 17 great great-grandchildren, sister Phyllis Reid sister-in-law Elsie. Predeceased by husband James; daughter Susann; grandson Douglas; parents Richard and Jane; sisters Ann (Joe), Bess (Albert), Greta (William), Olive (Joe) and Rachael (Howard); brothers Nigel and Ted; sons-in-law Norman, Thomas and Nath. The funeral service took place at St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Upper Island Cove on Friday, December 4, 2015, 2 p.m. The family received relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers were gratefully accepted or donations in her loving memory may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church Restoration Fund. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loved ones at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Wanda H. Trickett of Carbonear, age 45 years. Predeceased by parents: Hayward Collins and Clara Parsons. Left to mourn, spouse: Baxter King; one daughter: Jackie (Chad) Mercer, Harbour Grace; one son: Adam (Tiffany Parsons), Saskatoon, SK and their father, Johnny Trickett, Carbonear; two grandchildren: Cameron and Alaya; one brother: Billy (Sheila Parsons), Medicine Hat, AB; three sisters: Kimberley (Debbie) Parsons, Trenton, ON, Ada (Jack) Deering, Freshwater, Carbonear and Susan Collins, Fort McMurray, AB; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Karen Thorne conducted the funeral service on Saturday, December 5 from the United Church, Victoria. Cremation took place. Inurnment to be held at a later date at the United Cemetery, Victoria.
