BISHOP, Emest - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, December 15, 2004, Ernest Bishop of Broad Cove, age 86 years. Predeceased by five brothers: John, Abslom, Kenneth, Herbert and Fredrick; six sisters: Mildred, Nellie, Lucy, Bertha, Elsie and Gladys. Leaving to mourn wife: Janie; one daughter: Marie Oakley (Brant Payne), Calgary, AB; three sons: John, Dartmouth, NS, Guy (Judy), St. John's and Emrys (Edith), Cambridge, ON; thirteen grandchildren: Jason (Melissa), Chad (Elaine), Cortney, Keegan, Elizabeth, Gary, Karen (David), Kellie (Steve), Danielle (Chad), Tara (Jeff), Scott (Judy), Reid (Renee) and Mark; eleven great grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the funeral service on Saturday, December 18 at the United Church and Cemetery, Blackhead. Donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund. BLUNDON, Cecil L. - Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, December 25, 2004, Cecil L. Blundon of Carbonear formerly of Bay de Verde, age 89 years. Left to mourn wife Sadie L.; one daughter Marion (Daniel) Hiscock, Mount Pearl; one granddaughter Dawn Havill, Orillia, ON; two great grandchildren: Alexandra and Adam; one sister Nina Poole, Burlington, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Archdeacon IIiffe Sheppard conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Predeceased by parents: Augustus and Laura Jane Clarke; brothers: Augustus, Oscar, Amos, Alexander and Lionel; sisters: Annie, Myrtle, Lillian and Susie. Left to mourn wife Bertha May; one daughter Lima Clarke (Gary Seaward), Victoria; one son David (Nancy), Oakville, ON; three grandchildren: Katie, Joshua and Jason (Charlotte Cole); one great grandson Nicholas; four brothers: Donald (Gladys), St. John's, Pleaman (Violet), Victoria, Bert (Olga), Long Pond and Stanley, Victoria; two sisters: Muriel (Donald) Jackson, Victoria and Gladys (Thomas) Deering, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Annie Clarke, Victoria, Louise Clarke, Dunville, Joyce Clarke, Victoria and Hilda Clarke, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. CRANE, Olive Evelyn - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2004, Olive Evelyn Crane of Upper Island Cove, aged 78 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch #22 at Upper Island Cove. Predeceased by her husband Henley Crane; daughter Rosalynn Crane, granddaughter Buffy Crane; great grandson Nicholas Jason McCarthy. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Llew, Upper Island Cove and Henley (Yvonne) Bryants Cove; two daughters: Marina (Kevin) McCarthy and Carol (Art) Laviolette both of Upper Island Cove; six grandchildren: Michelle Snow, Tracy Heard, Jason McCarthy, Tanya Crane, Wendy Brown and Jamie Laviolette; six great grandchildren: Kurchelle and Madisson Snow, Andrew Heard, Kaede Gale, Faith McCarthy, Cassie Brown and other relatives and friends. Rev. Strong and Rev. Arch Young conducted the funeral service on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at St. Peters Anglican Church and Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. Pallbearers were Henley Crane, Art and Jamie Laviolette, Aubrey Reid, Kevin and Jason McCarthy. Funeral arrangements were by Hussey's Funeral Home, Upper Island Cove.

Hiscock, Ella M. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, Ella M. Hiscock of Ochre Pit Cove, formerly of Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: Frederick and Sarah Hiscock; sister: Wilma Dowden. Left to mourn, spouse: Clyde Coish and his family; Robert, Patricia and her children: Daniel and Jessica, Rona and her daughter Andrea; one brother: John (Janet) Hiscock, Carbonear; one sister: Margaret (Harold) Hancock, Carbonear; brother-in-law: Eli Dowden, Carbonear; a number of nieces and nephews as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Stephen Matthews conducted the funeral service on Saturday, December 4 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. HUSSEY, Norma Grace (nee Snow) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving mom, grandmother and sister Norma Grace Hussey (nee Snow) of Clarke's Beach. Norma passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 26, 2004, age 68 years. She is predeceased by her husband Harris Hussey; parents: Clara and Mark Snow and twin sister Lillian Snow. She leaves to mourn, three sons: Keith (Candace) Hussey of Saudi Arabia, Kevin (Janice) Hussey of Clarke's Beach, Melvin Hussey of Halifax. As well as two daughters: Valerie (Keith) Pye of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Heather Joy Hussey of Clarke's Beach; four grandchildren: Leanne, Bradley; Rodney and Mckenzie; three step grandchildren: Larry, Kim and Tina; two sisters: Mildred (William) Earle of Shearstown, Neita (Lloyd) Parsons of Bay Roberts and one brother Howard Snow of Clarke's Beach; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Rested at Moore's Funeral Home. Funeral service took place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarke's Beach. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery; Clarke's Beach.
"Today is a time to be grateful for all God has done in our lives, and a time to remember not to take anything for granted, not a single gift, or any person or even one moment in time, for when God gives it, it is precious."

KENNEDY, Angus F. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, December 11, 2004, Angus F. Kennedy of Western Bay, age 84 years. Predeceased by parents: Levi and Bessie; brother Malcolm; sisters: Cora and Grace. Left to mourn wife Mary; one son: Frederick (Linda), Western Bay; two grandsons: Barry (Angie), Western Bay and Jason (Yvonne), Gull Island; two great grandchildren: Hailey and Jaden; one brother William, Western Bay; one sister: Allison (Wilson) Temple, Long Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
