BUTT, Doris M. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, August 31, 2009, Doris M. (Snow) Butt of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by 1st husband: John William Snow and 2nd husband: Malcolm Butt, son: Joseph; infant daughter: Eleanor Frances; grandson: Terry; great-grandson: Andrew; brothers: Benjamin, Charles, Chesley and WIlliam; sisters: Leah, Maude and Florence. Left to mourn, one daughter: Sylvia (Melvin) Fillier, Thompson, MB; one son: Woodrow (Eileen) Snow, Kelligrews; nine grandchildren: Shawn, Trudy, Stephanie, Dayna, Sherry, Dianne, Kathy, Lisa and Tammy; eleven great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Danika, Kayla, Matthew, Stuart, Chandler, Carter, Mackenzie, Evan, David, Steven; three step-daughters: Vera (Arthur) Roy and Brenda (Gerald) Companion, both of Scarborough, ON and Noreen Butt, Toronto, ON; one step-son: Andrew (Eileen) Butt, Fort McMurray, AB, four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Marian Snow, St. John's; one brother: George (Jessie) Butt, Carbonear; three sisters-in-law: Eleanor Butt, Lavinia Snow and Hazel Snow, all of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev: Stephen Matthews conducted the funeral service on Thursday, September 3 at Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment followed at Bethany United Cemetery; Carbonear. DAVIDGE, John Benjamin - Entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 21, 2009, John Benjamin Davidge of Carbonear; formerly of Bay du Nord, Fortune Bay, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents: Everard and Catherine; sisters: Linda Gancher and Emma Davidge; brothers: Roy, Jim and Harvey. Left to mourn, wife: Ruth (Taylor) and daughter: Catherine Ruth; brother: Bud (Daphne), English Harbour West and their children Chris (Susan) and Janine; aunt: Margaret Howe, Hamilton, ON; sister-in-law: Jane Davidge, Pools Cove and her children Linda, Charmaine and Elizabeth (Barry); sister-in-law: Nadia Davage, Winnipeg, MB and her children Randy (Laura) nd Gordon (Cui-Ling); brother-in-law: Albert Gancher, Kelowna, BC; special cousin: David Guzzwell; also a large number of other relatives and friends. HARRIS, Wilbert - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, Wilbert Harris of Carbonear, age 74 years. Left to mourn wife of 52 years, Mary (Vaters); three daughters: Judy (Terry) Fahey and Sherry (Wayne) Mercer, both of Carbonear; Annette (Bill) Sheppard, Victoria; three sons: Barry (Debbie), Eastern Passage, NS, Randy (Diane) and Shawn (Shirley), both of Carbonear; grandchildren: Jason, Stephen (Michelle), Deanne, Bradley, Terrilynn, Stacey, Rebecca, Matthew, Stephanie and Kristen; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Left to mourn, wife: Patricia; two daughters: Tina (Paul) Noseworthy, North River and Krista Jordan (Andy Bailey), Goose Bay; two sons: Brian (Elizabeth) and Sean (Donna), both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; six grandchildren: Amanda, Mitchell, Brianne, Drew, Rebecca and Claire; five brothers: William (Mary), Harbour Grace, Gerald (Catherine), Corner Brook, Clarence (Sue), Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Jerome (Christine), Mississauga, ON, and Gordon (Judy) Riverhead, Harbour Grace; three sisters: Jean (Wayne) Clarke, Carbonear, Shirley Chipman (Roger), Kingston, NS and Ruth Jordan (Don Jerrett), Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. KERLlNG, Susan Joy RN (nee: Snow) - Passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 as the result of a tragic accident at the age of 32 years. Susan Joy Kerling of Waterloo, cherished wife and best friend of Trevor. Dearly loved daughter of Beverly and Bill Snow of Baie Verte, NL. Loved and missed by her only sister, Sherri Lynn Woolfrey and her husband Peter. Loved aunt of William Woolfrey. Dear daughter-in-law of Sandy Schulz of Winnipeg, MB and sister-in-laws Cathy Case and Tina Case of Winnipeg, MB. She will be sadly missed by her grandmother, Francis Snow of Carbonear, NL, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Susan Joy was a Critical Care Nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. She enjoyed spending time with Trevor while motorcycling, snow mobiling, ATVing and travelling. She also enjoyed working out at the gym and had a soft spot for animals, including her rescued pets, Cotton, Felix and Bandit. Susan Joy's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. MORRIS, Annie M. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Friday, August 14, 2009, Annie M. Morris of Lower Island Cove, age 98 years. Predeceased by husbands: Llewellyn Cull (1933) and Robert Morris (1998); daughter and son-in-law: Joyce and Bill Wiltshire; parents: William and Mary Ann Thorne; three brothers and five sisters. Left to mourn son: Robert (Dianne), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Dana (Grant)Yetman, NS, Lisa (Mike) Waye, St. John's, Adam Morris (Carla Nearing), NS and Brian (Mona) Wiltshire, ON; five great-grandchildren: Liam and Kara Yetman, Simon Waye, Will and Becky Wiltshire; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rev. Stephen Matthews conducted the funeral service on Monday, August 17 at Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment took place in Bethal United Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. POWELL, Donald - Passed away at the Health Science Center, St. John's on Monday, August 17, 2009, with his loving family by his side, Donald Powell of Carbonear, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents: Herbert and Berthana Powell; three brothers: Max (Carolyn), Herbert and Roland (Pearl); two sisters Mary Fradsham and Ella (Jack) Becktel; sister-in-law Effie Powell and brother-in-law Malcolm Pelley. He leaves to mourn his loving family: Wife Iva; three daughters: Judy (Ken) Green, Mt. Pearl; Christine (Clark) Atherton, Hatfield Point, N.B. and Doreen (Howard) Earle, Carbonear; one son Donald (Carolyn), Foxtrap; one brother Ben Powell, Charlottetown, Labrador; one sister Grace Pelley, Corner Brook; sister-in-law Isabelle Powell, Bay Roberts; nine grandchildren Krista (Trevor) King, Danielle (Brian) King, Kimberley, Donnie, Howard, Stephen, Lindsay (Terry) Upshall, Kristopher & Bethany; five great-grandchildren Nathan, Cole, Charlie, Gabrielle & Ava; special niece and nephew Cathy Cuff & Gary Butt, and a large number of other relatives and friends. ROSE, Sarah Ashley and Zachary Peter - sister and brother, passed away as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident on Thursday; August 13, 2009, Sarah Ashley Rose, age 18 years and Zachary Peter Rose, age 15 years, both of Perry's Cove. Predeceased by grandmother: Susan Colville. Left to mourn, parents: Pam and Vince; sister: Kayla (friend Kevin Sooley), Kelligrews; Sarah's boyfriend: Darian Blanchard, Ontario; grandparents: Clarence and Ruby Rose, Western Bay; step-grandfather: Hans Knudsen, Toronto, Ontario; aunts: auntie Di (uncle Shawn), auntie Jean (uncle Billy) and auntie Vell (uncle Charlie); cousins: Barbie, Megan, Mandy; Zoe and Hailey; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
