Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, April 17, 2017, Lillian Barbara Green of Carbonear; formerly of Hant's Harbour, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband: Lawrence; brothers: John, Philip, Robert, Chesley, and Donald; sister: Gertrude. Left to mourn, two sisters: Elizabeth, Ontario, and Dorothy, Halifax, NS; special cousin: Eileen Green, Carbonear; special friend: Ruby Pike, Carbonear; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear and the Salvation Army Citadel, Winterton. Lieutenants Randy and Cathy Shears conducted the Funeral Service on Thursday, April 20 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Winterton. Interment followed in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Hant's Harbour. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2017, James Thomas 'Jimmy' Meaney Jr. of Carbonear, age 52 years. Predeceased by mother: Sandra (Alcock); cousin: Lee Stone; uncles: Douglas Alcock and Bertram Alcock; aunt: Angela O'Brien. Left to mourn, daughter: Gerri-ann Swain-Meaney, Salmon Cove; son: Jeremy Swain-Meaney, Salmon Cove; father: James Thomas Sr., Carbonear; three brothers: David (Karen), Upper Island Cove, Paul (Rita), Niagara, ON, and Sean (Paule), St. Thomas, ON; sister: Susan (Phil) Hurley, Carbonear; nephews: Cody, Travis, and Noah; nieces: Sarah and Emma; also a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Father Anthony Nwoko conducted the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 19 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Inurnment was held in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
