. - Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Calvin R. Dean of Victoria, age 50 years. Predeceased by mother: Pearl; grandparents; nephew: Gregory. Left to mourn, father: Lionel (Ruth), Thunder Bay, ON; three brothers: Lionel (Gayle) and Samuel (Bonnie), both of Carbonear and Terry (Iris), Thunder Bay, ON; four sisters: Donna (Allan) Smith, Victoria, Jackie (Dan) Baldwin, Ontario, Beverley (Lawrence) McQueen and Betty (Claudio) Fransechetti, both of Thunder Bay, ON; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Jesse Bown conducted the Funeral service on Friday, April 4 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment to take place at a later date at Mountain View United Cemetery, Thunder Bay, ON. Donations in his memory may be made to the Calvin R. Dean Memorial Fund. NICOLLE, Reverend Donald
Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, Reverend Donald Everett Nicolle, retired priest of The Anglican Church of Canada and CBC Halifax & Newfoundland. Predeceased by parents, Everett & Mary Nicolle; sister Marion; brothers: Jack, William, & Harold; and daughter Jennifer Saucier. Left to mourn his wife of 60 years, Faith (nee Whalley); children: Cathy (Lloyd Best), Mary Faith "Nikki" (Harvey Froude), John, Robert (Gary Purcell), Marion, Chris (Cathy nee Snow), Mark "Moose", & Natasha; son-in-law Gille Saucier; grandchildren: Donald Saucier (Allison), Arthur Froude (Heather), Timothy Best, Eric Saucier (Chantel), Sarah Best (Bradley), Oliver Nicolle, & Patrick Nicolle; great-grandchildren: Pascal Saucier & Damien Saucier; and also a large number of nieces, nephews, & friends. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Clare's 7 West and Hoyles Home North 1 for their outstanding care and help during the past year. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place from The Church of The Good Shepherd, Richard Nolan Drive, Mount Pearl on Friday, April 11, 2014, at 1:00pm, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Theresa M. Delaney Oliver (nee Gibbons) of Gull Island, age 83 years. Predeceased by first husband: Edward Delaney Sr., two infant children, grandson: Ray Augot, great-grandson: Bowen O'Leary, parents: Patrick and Elizabeth Gibbons, sisters: Mary, Ethel, Madeline, Anne, Nellie and Genevieve, brothers: Solomon and Bernard. Left to mourn, husband: Gerald; three daughters: Linda (Ron) O'Leary, Blackhead, Geraldine Delaney (Allan Beauchamp), Oshawa, ON and Ann Marie Delaney (George McNeil), Broad Cove; seven sons: Edward (Linda) Delaney, Gull Island, Paul (Marguerite) Delaney, Harbour Breton, Tim (Nora) Delaney, Northern Bay, Vincent (Donna) Delaney, Ontario, Tony (Elaine) Delaney, Gull Island, Fabian (Janice) Delaney, Clarenville and R. Harold (Kim) Delaney, Alberta; two step-sons: David and Brian, both of Ontario; twenty-two grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Ann Noonan, St. John's and Genevieve Delaney, Gull Island; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Fr. Cesar Derit conducted the Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 5 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Passed suddenly away at Fort McMurray, AB on Sunday, April 6, 2014, Shawn Osmond of Carbonear, age 26 years. Predeceased by grandmother: Loretta King and great-grandparents. Leaving to mourn, parents: Ted and Korena; grandparents: Albert King (Joan Butt) and Robert (Doreen) Osmond, both of Carbonear; aunts: Cherree King, Carbonear, Pamela (Shawn) Vickery, Mississauga, ON, Jody (Lloyd) Cole, Victoria and Patricia (Leo) Reardon, Bell Island; uncle: Duane Osmond, St. John's; cousins: Amanda, Lori, Vanessa, Leo, Amy, Brian and Jeremy; also a number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Saturday, April 12 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
