ANDERSON, John W. F. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2008, John W. F. Anderson of Harbour Grace, age 83 years; a sixty-year member of the Orange Lodge and Royal Black Preceptory. Predeceased by wife: Myrtle, son-in-law: Eric Chubbs, parents: Frederick and Winnifred and sister: Martha Crewe. BEARD, Thelma - Passed away peacefully at home in Keswick, Ontario, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer on April 5, 2008 at the age of 66, formerly from Lead Cove. Leaving to mourn: husband Jack, son Brian, grandson Marshal. Sisters: Priscella Sparkes and Eva Power (formerly of Sibley's Cove), Marion Ford (Colorado), Dorothy Hickey (Scarborough), Evelyn Holloway (Clarenville). Brother: Melvin (Calgary) and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Thelma will be greatly missed.

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of Martin in Fort McMurray, Alberta on April 16, 2008. Predeceased by parents Walter and Lucy Blackmore of Grand Falls-Windsor; beloved husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law, cousin and special friend. HEALE, Father David William - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our cherished brother, pastor and friend on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 62 years. Predeceased by his parents, William (1962) and Phyllis (2003). Leaving to mourn his Bishop and friend, Most Rev. Martin Currie; his fellow priests and his brothers and sisters: Judy (Carl) Thompson, St. John's, Patricia Dauphinee, Halifax, Don (Alice), Ottawa, Jim (Sharon), Mt. Pearl; nieces and nephews: Chris (Michaelyn) McCormack, Karen (Ron St. Croix) and Ian Thompson, Michael Dauphinee, Matthew (Dawn MacDonald) Dauphinee, Bill and Suzanne Heale, Lisa, Joanne (Andrew Moores) and Tony Heale; and his special great-nephew and namesake, David St. Croix; other special friends, parishioners and relatives especially Charlie (Ann Marie), Bernice Heale, all of those whose time he loved and valued. His ministry spanned almost 38 years in many parishes in the Grand Falls Diocese including Carbonear and Holyrood. Rested at Caul's Funeral Home, St. John's on Friday, April 18, 2008. and then at Holy Cross Church, Holyrood on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, 2008. Funeral took place on Monday, April 21, 2008 with Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. O'GRADY, Thomas M. - Passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer and in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Thomas M. O'Grady of Carbonear, age 59 years. Predeceased by parents: Patrick and Roseanna; brothers: Clarence, Kevin and Brian. PINBORN, Hilda (nee Hiscock) - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of eighty-five on April 26, 2008 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, QC. Predeceased by her husband Eleazer; son Victor; parents Effie and John Hiscock; and sister Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn her son James (Jim) and his wife Marilyn of Montreal, QC; and Vera Hiscock of Montreal, QC who was like a daughter to her. Sadly missed and always remembered by her extended family and friends. She will return home to her final resting-place where a memorial service will be held at a later date in Winterton, NFLD.

Predeceased by parents: Michael and Alice Ryan; brothers: William and Joseph; sisters: Mary 'May' Delaney, Margaret Mullins and Gertrude Normore. Left to mourn nieces and nephews: Jean Marie Robin, ON, Margaret Kastrukoff, ON, John Mullins, Corner Brook, Theresa Getson, NS, Calvin Normore, Los Angeles, Mary Normore, Corner Brook and Wayne Normore, NS; also a number of cousins and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Olive Sparkes, wife Beverly Ann and brother Robert. Left to mourn sons Ronald (Paula) and Jeffrey (Seliena); daughter Lori Sparkes (Darryl Pye), grandchildren Bradley, Brandon, Jordan, Melissa and Emily; sister Vivian (William) Snow; nieces, nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held Sunday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m. from Central United Church, Bay Roberts. Cremation followed. Inurnment was at the Central United Church Cemetery, Bay Roberts Wed., April 9. Pallbearers were Ronald Sparkes, John Sams, Jeffrey Sparkes, Nelson Dawe, Donald Badock, Scott Snow and Bradley Sparkes. Funeral arrangements were by Carl R. Moore of Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts.

WHITE, Peter Joseph - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 6, 2008, Peter Joseph White of Carbonear, age 59 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Cicily; sister: Marie Bradbury.
