GENGE, Gilbert
At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, April 27, 2007, of Gilbert Genge of Broadway Street, Kensington, aged 83 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland, on November 26, 1923. Son of the late George Thomas and Annie (Vardy) Genge. He spent his early years in Southport, P.E.I. Following the war, he worked with the Canadian National Railway, when he met his wife to be, Joan. Shortly after, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force, until retirement in 1973. He then retuned to P.E.I. and worked at Cavendish Farms in New Annan, until his last retirement, in 1988. His favourite pastimes included gardening, fishing, spending time with family and friends and playing cards. The family extends special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children, Joanne Dell, Summerside; Charles, Ottawa, Ontario; Kathy (Brian) Tuck, Red Dear, Alberta; Lisa (Mark) Durling, Stewiacke, Nova Scotia and Douglas, Kensington; grandchildren Ryan Dell, Adam Dell, Redmond Tuck and Keeley Tuck all of Alberta and brother Raymond of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Husband of the late Joan (Moore) Genge, who predeceased him on December 20, 2006. He was also predeceased by son David, brothers Morley, George and Roland, sisters Beatrice and Muriel. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 a.m., which will be immediately followed by a Legion memorial service conducted by Comrades of the Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Br. # 9 Royal Canadian Legion, Kensington. Interment in the Clifton Cemetery, Stratford. KELSEY, John Malcolm - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on April 4, 2007, John Malcolm Kelsey of Clarke's Beach, age 80 years. Predeceased by his only sibling Rachel of Hull, England in March 2006. John was a native of Hull, a veteran of WWII and a retired Canadian Marconi employee who had preciously resided in Goose Bay and Baie Verte. His wife Elizabeth survives him as well as daughters Hazel Klevanis of England and Elizabeth Young of Spain. Step children: Stephen, Christopher, Michael, Joanna and Jennifer Lang and grandsons Michael Glavanis of Egypt and Alexander Glavanis of the UK. John was an avid gardener who devoted his retirement years to the beautification of his property and his community. Cremation has taken place with private inurnment at a later date.

KING, Harold - Passed suddenly away at Corner Brook on Sunday, April 22, 2007 Harold King of Salmon Cove, age 62 years. Predeceased by parents: Norman and Eliza Jane; brother: Herbert. Leaving to mourn, wife: Rosalind; two sons: David, Salmon Cove and Michael, St. John's; one precious granddaughter: Kristina; four brothers: Norman (Joyce), George (Angela), David (Joslyn) and Ron (Joy), all of Victoria; two sisters: Patsy (Ralph) King, Victoria and Betty (Don) Vaters, Salmon Cove; sister-in-law: Lilly King, Victoria; brothers-in-law: Ray (Gayle) Case, Victoria and Gerald Case, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. PARMITER, Catherine "Katie" - Passed peacefully away at her daughter's residence in St. John's on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, Catherine "Katie" Parmiter of Harbour Grace, age 95 years. SHEA, Frances Geraldine - It is with great sadness that the family wish to announce the peaceful passing of Frances Geraldine Shea in the early morning of April 21, 2007, in her 82nd year. Frances was a resident at the Dearness Home in London, Ontario and formerly resided in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. Frances was the daughter of the late William and Johanna Shea. Predeceased by her sisters: Mary (Minnie) Sheehan, Ann Barley; brothers: Jeremiah (Jer) Shea, William (Bill) Shea, James (Jim) Shea, Lenard (Lin) Shea and Michael (Mike) Shea; dearest sister of Christine Burke of London, Ontario and Loretta Tulette of Buffalo, New York; aunt, great aunt and great-great-aunt of many wonderful nieces and nephews. At Frances request, no visitation had taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Justin's Parish, 855 Jalna Blvd., London, Ontario on Thursday morning, April 26, 2007 at 11 o'clock. Cremation with private interment was held at St. Peter's Cemetery; London, Ontario. Many thanks to the caring team at the Dearness Home, particularly the staff of Three West. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Frances are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to John T.
