Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Saturday, September 3, 2011, Mrs. Dorothy Maude Buffett, age 88 years of Harbour Breton, formerly of Grole. Leaving to mourn her loving family: son, Lewis (Colleen) at Tors Cove, NL; daughters, Mary (Gordon Vallis) at Harbour Breton and Maude Skinner at Burin; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Sadie Harris at Grand Bank; daughter in law, Ada Buffett, at Grand Falls-Windsor; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Samuel, on September 5, 1990; son, Roy, in June, 2004; son in law, Samuel Skinner, in June, 2003; great grandson in October, 2010; parents, Andrew and Rosanna Rose, formerly of Great Harbour. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbor Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery at Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

HARDY, Ada Mullins

Passed peacefully away at her residence in Rencontre East on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, Mrs. Ada Mullins Hardy, age 72 years. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, George Tom; sons, Raymond (Grace) and Jim (Lisa) at Rencontre East; daughters, Doris Hardy, Dora Dyke (Bert), and Pamela Hardy, all at Rencontre East; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jillian, Nena, Staci, Dylan, Brandon, Taylor and Lydia; brother, Raymond James (Mabel) at Ontario plus a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by daughter, Sue, in April, 2011; sisters, Maude, Amelia and Theresa; brothers, Harold, Albert and Lesley, and parents, Julia Ann and Albert James. Funeral service was held on Friday, September 9, 2011, at 1:00 pm from St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Rencontre East with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. HOSKINS, Jr., George

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George (Junior) Hoskins announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls - Windsor, NL on Friday September 2, 2011 at the age of 69. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers: Levi (Elizabeth), Arthur (Maureen), Willie (Margaret) & Jonas, all of St. Alban's, NL; sisters: Mary (Murray Kearley), Bishops Falls, NL, Lila (John Ross), Anne Hoskins both of Brampton, ON as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: George & Irene Hoskins; sister: Dolores Poullette. The funeral service was held on Monday September 5, 2011 at 2 pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Sunday, September 4, 2011, Mr. Walter B. Loveless, age 78 years of Seal Cove. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Winnie; sons, Ken (Wanda) at Seal Cove, Claude (Bernice) at Trenton, NS, Glen (Rosalie) at Calgary, AB, and Daryl (Charmaine) at Seal Cove; daughters, Tressie and Sheila, both at Enfield, NS; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brothers, George (Shirley) at Foxtrap, NL, Gerald (Betty) at Bay D'Espoir, and Edmund (Audrey) at Mount Pearl; sisters, Bessie (Joe Langdon) at Grand Bank, Marion (Norman Loveless) at Seal Cove, Emily (Wilfred Best) at Arnold's Cove, Gladys (Thomas Grandy) at Grand Bank, Kay (Bruce Williams) at Arnold's Cove, and Alma (Carl Matthews) at Grand Bank; plus a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, John W. and Grace Loveless, and brother, John Willie. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 2:00 pm from the Salvation Army Church in Seal Cove with Captains Edward and Rose Canning officiating.
