She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband: Isadore; children: Genevieve (Colin MacNeil), St. Alban's, NL, Albert (Kathy), Shoal Harbour, NL, Craig, Sandy (Kyrian), Tony, Isadore Jr. (Charlene), Madonna (Bern Benoit), Corina Benoit, Adam (Lisa), all of Conne River, NL; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister: Emily Benoit, Conne River, NL; brothers: Frank Benoit (rita), Bede Benoit (Aggie), all of Conne River, NL as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister: Veronica McDonald; brothers: Jim Benoit, Ben Benoit & Jake Benoit. The funeral service was held on Monday September 20, 2010 at 11 am at St. Anne's R. C. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Theresa; two daughters, Susan (Anthony) and Mary (Newman) at Harbour Breton; four sons, Albert (Ellen) at Paradise, Lloyd (Karen) at Harbour Breton, Gordon (Annie) at St. John's, and Frederick (Viola) at Harbour Breton; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Sheila Bungay (James) at Harbour Breton; daughter in law, Karen Douglas, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, George and Annie Douglas (nee Willcott); son, David; son in law, Melvin Walsh; five sisters, Elsie, Gertrude, Susie, Bessie and Frances. Rested at Cauls' Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road on Sunday, September 26, 2010. A celebration of life was held at Cauls' Chapel on Monday, September 27, 2010. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Velma Scott announce the passing on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons: Calvin (Frances), Ramea and Gary, Irishtown; two grandsons: David (Laura) and Micheal (Dawn); sister:Joan Sheppard (Harold); brother Lenus Lawrence (Ann); sisters-in-law: Sadie Lawrence, Gladys Lawrence and Polly-Jo Lawrence; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas; Son:Gerald; daughter-in-law: Gail: parents: Arthur and Elizabeth Lawrence: sisters: Sally and Alice and brothers Thomas, Jospeh and Garfield. Friends may visit St Bonfire Anglican Church, Ramea on Monday evening and all day Tuesday from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Dawn Barrett officiating, followed by Interment at the church cemetery.
