Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Friday, September 4, 2009, Mr. Edward Blagdon, age 81 years of Coombs Cove. Leaving to mourn his loving family---wife, Alice, four sons; Hubert and Murdock (Marion) at Coombs Cove, Newman at Harbour Breton, and Edward (Peggy) at Coombs Cove, two daughters; Frances (Ross) at St. John's and Loretta at Harbour Breton, nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, two brothers; Stephen Blagdon at Belleoram and Harvey (Ethel) at Coombs Cove, one sister; Ruth at Grand Bank plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, Jerome and Esther Ann Blagdon, brother, Philip, three sisters; Elizabeth Bartlett, Florence Drakes and Evelyn Parsons. Funeral service will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Coombs Cove on Monday, September 7, 2009, at 11:00 am with Rev. Peter Windover officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Coombs Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencers Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on September 29, 2009, Darlene Elizabeth Lushman, age 44 years of Sandyville. Leaving to mourn her loving family, sister, Ida (husband Mark Brandon) at Halifax; one special nephew, Matthew; her grandmother, Mrs. Olive Bobbett at Hillside Manor, Harbour Breton; all her Aunts and Uncles; special caregiver, Lexie Loveless, at Seal Cove; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Winnie Lushman, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 am from St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Hermitage with Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery at Hermitage-Sandyville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
