Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Center in St. John's on Sunday, November 21, 2010, Lucy Mary Blagdon, age 51 years of Boxey. Leaving to mourn her loving family: mother, Susie G. Blagdon at Boxey; three brothers, Calvin (Ethel) at Boxey, Russell (Pearl) at St. John's, and Ricky (Brenda) at Lewisporte; three sisters, Christine (Lorne) at Paradise, Eunice (Andrew) at Catalina, and Susan (Leo) at Boxey; as well, her Toronto family: her partner of twelve years, Steve George, and his mother, Margaret George, and family; fourteen nieces and nephews; 8 grand nieces and nephews; and a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by father, Jeremiah, in 1995; nephew, Brian Blagdon, in 2000, and infant brother in 1963. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 2:00 pm from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church in Boxey with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Boxey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. John The Evangelist Church. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Phoebe; one son, Justin (Wendy) at Mount Pearl; one daughter, Jacinda (Curtis) at St. Anthony; his parents, Munden and Marjorie Lane at Gambo; two brothers, Tony (Jennifer) at Gambo and Neville (Lizette) at Sop's Arm; three sisters, Vivian (Lee) at Calgary, Kathy (David) at Fort MacMurray and Sonia (Eric) at Sop's Arm; parents in law, Charles and Bride Pierce at Harbour Breton; two sisters in law, Gloria (Sam) at Embree and Angela (Steve) at Harbour Breton; two brothers in law, Rick (Gail) at Harbour Breton and Joe (Myrna) at New Brunswick plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn; brother, Howard; and sister, Myrtle Williams. - 77, Mulgrave formerly of St. Alban's, Baie d'Espoir, NL passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in St. Alban's, NL, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Crant) Skinner. Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave. Mom will be fondly remembered for her love of family, friends, her laughter, her kindness, her faith and her great sense of humour. She is survived by her children, Dominic (Cecile) Willcott, Edmonton, Alta.; Frances (Anthony) Crant, Mulgrave; Madonna Mooring (Philip Organ), Baie d'Espoir, NL; Lucy Kendall, Ottawa, Ont.; Georgina Fitzpatrick, Ontario; Linda (Donald) Williams, Havre Boucher; Lionel Willcott (Freda Matchen), Embrun, Ont. grandchildren, Nicole, Jenna, Ryan, Anthony, Duane, Donnie, Michael, David, Tracy, Jacob, Cheryll, Eric, Briana, Hailey, Braeden, Cody, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Madison, Kristen, Quiana, Schuyler, Caleb and Lily and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; her son, Joseph; infant grandsons, Taylor and Tyler Williams; brothers, Edward "Ned", James "Jim", Thomas, John and Joseph; sisters, Rebecca, Florence and Margaret. Her family will receive friends to pay their respects from 2-9 p.m. Friday, in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral mass was held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating, with burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
