It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pearl Collier announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Fall Windsor, NL Tuesday June 18, 2013 at the age of 76. She leaves to mourn with fond loving memories her loving husband; George; children Daphne (Lou Willcott), St. Alban's NL, Randy (Colleen), C. B. S. NL, Gary (Richelle) Toronto Ont., Amanda (Paul Staeben) St. John's NL, and Dion (Lisa) St Alban's NL, grandchildren: Jonathan, Joshua, Amanda, Braiden, Christopher, Chloe and Ave; sisters Bessie Harding St. Alban's, Theresa (Ron Perry) Head Bay d Espoir, brother Lawrence (Doreen) Edmonton Alberta, sister in law Gertrude Hoskins as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was preceded by her sisters: Julia, Mary, Kathleen, Rita and Geraldine; brothers: Ron, Bert, Freeman, Dan and Sylvester. The funeral service was held on Friday June 21, 2013 at 11 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church St. Alban's with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery St. Alban's. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home St. Alban's.

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Monday, June 17, 2013, Mr. Reginald James Fudge, age 81 years of McCallum. Leaving to mourn his loving family: sons, Leo and wife, Pat, and Eric and wife, Colleen, all at Port Aux Basques, Herman, Rodger and wife, Elizabeth, at McCallum; daughter, Angela and husband, Darryl Gosse at Calgary, AB and son, Timothy, at McCallum; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Maisie), Matthew (Sarah), Earl (Fanny) and Lloyd (Myrtle) all at McCallum; sisters, Linda (Lloyd Durnford) at McCallum, and Dinah Rivard at Halifax, NS; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Annie Gladys Fudge, and other relatives. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20, at 11:00 am from St. Peter's Anglican Church in McCallum with Rev. Colbourne officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery at McCallum. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at his residence in St. Alban's on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, Mr. Felix Hoskins, age 77 years. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Agatha; daughters, Ann (Calvin Strickland) at Milltown, Karen (Cosmos) Macdonald at St. Alban's, and Shelly (Corey Taylor) at New Brunswick; sons, Roy (Beverley) at St. John's and Bruce (Monica) at London, ON; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Elizabeth Hoskins and Clara Willcott (Kenneth) at St. Alban's, Mary Scavarelli (Roderick) at Thunder Bay, ON and Genevieve Tranquada (Michael) at Toronto, ON; brother, Aloysius Hoskins (Betty) at St. Alban's and Johnny (Judy Lawrence) at Bridgewater, NS; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, Aloysius and Joan; brother, Augustus; sister, Ann Lawrence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Benefit Group, St. Alban's. Funeral service was held on Friday, June 14, 2013, at 10:30 am from St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in St. Alban's with Father Justin Dawson officiating. Interment of ashes followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Leaving to mourn his loving family: sons, Douglas (Doreen) at Grand Bank, Gordon (Marilyn) and Wayne at Harbour Breton, Harvey (Bella) at CBS, Clifford (Mary) at Harbour Breton, Gary (Vira) at Springdale, Geoffery (Joanne) at Winterland, and Dan (Brenda) at Harbour Breton; daughters, Shirley (Nathan Fudge) at Marystown, Mary (Willie Jensen), Ruth (Lewis Snook) and Kay, all at Harbour Breton; twenty six grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; daughter in law, Mildred Jackman at Dartmouth, NS; brothers, Thomas (Effie) at Harbour Breton and Harvey (Roma) at Hillview; sisters in law, Olive Bobbett at KM Homes, St. Alban's and Blanche Jackman at Harbour Breton; special person, Carolyn Fowlow, at Milltown who frequently visited him; plus a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Susanna Jane; sons, Henry and Lloyd; daughter in law, Elizabeth; brothers, Joseph, Clyde and Ted; sister, Rita. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Bartholomew's Furnace Fund. Funeral service was held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 11:00 am from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery at Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Sunday, June 9, 2013, Mr. Clarence Rideout, age 85 years of Seal Cove, Fortune Bay. He is greatly loved and sadly missed by his loving family: wife, Ruby; daughters, Ada (Clyde Strickland) at Grand Falls-Windsor, Linda (Roland Piercey) at Hermitage, Evelyn (John Patterson) at Nova Scotia, and Roberta (Ricky Piercey) at Brampton, ON; sons, Guy (Olga) at Seal Cove, and Bernard (Denise) at Grand Falls-Windsor; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends, Predeceased by sisters, Cassie, Bride, and Elva; brothers, Wallace and Cyril. Funeral service took place at the Gospel Hall in Seal Cove on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 2:00 pm. Interment followed at the Gospel Hall Cemetery in Seal Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

ROBERTS, John (Jack)

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the death of Jack (John) Herman Roberts, 57, of Hermitage, NL, on June 1, 2013. Predeceased by his father Herman and leaving to mourn his wife Anita, son Andrew (Stefanie) Roberts, grandsons Owen, Zachary and Johnathan, mother Elsie Roberts, sister Madge (Melvin) Rose, brothers Harold (Lynn) Roberts, Gordon Roberts and Clark Roberts, stepdaughter Denise (Neil) Hackett (Grace, Leah and Ella), stepson Darrell Compton (Jada) and many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. Jack was kind, humble, generous and caring. He was an excellent father and grandfather. He had a great love for hunting and fishing and he was always there with a helping hand. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 11:00 am from St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Hermitage-Sandyville with Rev. G. Colbourne officiating.
"Poppy Jack, if tears could build a staircase and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again."

Predeceased by grandparents, William and Julia Skinner, and brother in law, George Edwards. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, John; daughters, Lucy at Terrenceville, Elizabeth (Sam), Jane (Stan) at Harbour Breton, Enid (Gary) at St. John's and Delores (Jason) at Harbour Breton; sons, Ned (Dot), Jim (Gertie) at Harbour Breton, Dave (Jane) at Hatchet Lake, NS, Mike (Lenora) at Harbour Breton and Rick (Nancy) at St. John's; twenty-four grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by son, William; grandson, Ricky; brothers, James, Vincent and William Baker; sisters, Jane Augot, Minnie Baker, and Lucy Stoodley; sons in law, Earl Hickey and Ronnie Rose. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00pm from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Harbour Breton with Father Justin Dawson officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
