Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Thursday, December 6, 2012, Mrs. Gertrude Geraldine Bungay, age 89 years of Seal Cove, F. Bay. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons, Melvin and wife, Phyllis, at Seal Cove, Major Hedley Bungay and wife, Katie, at St. John's, and Glen and wife, Kay, at Fort McMurray, AB; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas, on November 26, 2002 and other relatives. Funeral service was held from the Salvation Army Citadel in Seal Cove on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Majors Austin and Lillian Randell and her son, Major Hedley Bungay, officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery at Seal Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

HARRIS, Louis Robert

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Friday, December 7, 2012, Mr. Louis Robert Harris, age 67 years of Gaultois (formerly of Great Harbour). Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Phyllis, at Hermitage; daughter, Anita (Carls Mestidor) at Ottawa; special and precious grandchildren, Madison and Isaiah; brother, Sidney John Harris at Hermitage; sister, Margaret Rose Roberts and husband, Robert Roberts, at Hermitage; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, George and Annie Harris. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 2:00 pm from St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Hermitage with Rev. Colbourne officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Hermitage-Sandyville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Thursday, December 6, 2012, Mr. Noel Joe (Sr.), age 91 years of Conne River. Leaving to mourn his loving family: sons, Chief Misel Joe (Colletta), Chesley (Mardina), Eric (Madeline), Billy (Darlene) and Andrew (Daisy) all at Conne River; daughters, Loretta (Louis), Eileen (Jerry) and Pauline (Cecil) all at Conne River; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Joe (Ethel) at Conne River; plus a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Catherine; daughter, Regina; son, Joseph; sisters, Molly McDonald, Angela John and Madeline John; brothers, Michael Joe (Sr.), Sylvester Joe, William Joe, Matthew Joe and Clement Joe. Funeral service was held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Conne River with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Conne River. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at her home in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, Mrs. Eileen Edith MacDonald, age 82 years of Harbour Breton, formerly of Gaultois. Leaving to mourn her loving family: daughters, Maureen and husband, Darrell Pierce, at Harbour Breton with whom she resided, and Harriett, and husband, Fred Langdon, at Harbour Breton; grandchildren, Quentin (Tracey), Quency (Candace), Tyler and Jordie; sister, Phyllis Harris at Hermitage; step sisters, Ethel and Thanie and their families; sisters in law, Annie Fudge, Eva Fudge and Meta MacDonald; her special home care worker (an angel from heaven), Marguerite Strowbridge, who took such good care of our Mom; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Cecil, on December 29, 2008; brother, Maxwell; brothers in law, Benjamin MacDonald, Louis Harris and Maxwell Fudge; sister in law, Agnes; step brother, Charlie Hunt and step sister, Monica Sutton. Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Leaving to mourn her loving family: son, Levi, and wife, Shirley, at Harbour Breton; grandchildren, Paul, Bradley and Ryan; brother, Levi Harris (Jean) at Petit d'Grat, NS; sisters, Florence Cluette at Quebec, Annie Coombs and husband, Rev. Hubert Coombs, at Stephenville, and Eileen Sheaves at Port aux Basques plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald, and other relatives. Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
