Passed peacefully away at his residence in Belleoram on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, Mr. Phillip Martin Poole, age 78 years, formerly of Corbin. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Olive; daughters, Susan (Craig) and Joy (Junior Pittman); sons, Phil (Lillian), Dave (Evelyn) and Jeff, all at Belleoram; a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Georgina), Hughie (Wynetta), Randell (Lucy), all at Belleoram, Simeon (Linda) at Nova Scotia and Angus (Mona) at St. Jacques; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by three sisters and other relatives. Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 am from St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Belleoram with Rev. Mildred Tobin officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Belleoram. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home. Visit us at spencersfuneralhome.com

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Twomey Health Care Centre in Botwood on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, Mr. Melvin Gordon Rose, age 80 years of English Harbour West. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Beryl; daughter, Peggy and husband, Ray Bartlett, at New Glasgow, NS; sons, Glen and wife, Norma, at Botwood, and, Sam and wife, Barbara, at Milltown; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, John, and wife, Mona, at English Harbour West; sisters, Maude, and husband, Jim Strowbridge, at Corner Brook, Eunice at Belleoram, Mildred at Corner Brook, Henrietta (Hettie), and husband, Reg Blagdon, at English Harbour West; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his mother, Joy, and father, Cecil; son, Melvin; brother, Fred; sister, Jean. Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 2:00 pm from St. Thomas Anglican Church in English Harbour West with Rev. Mildred Tobin officiating. Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, Mr. Neville Chamberlain Savoury, age 72 years, of Belleoram. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Shirley; daughter, Wendy (Chad Caines) at Pool's Cove; sons, Chris (Christine) at Mount Pearl and David (Natasha) at New Brunswick; four grandchildren, Adrian, Amber, Gavin and Zachary; brothers, Freeman at Belleoram, Ray (Rose) at Nova Scotia, and Norman (Alfreda) at Belleoram; sisters, Emily Savoury, Georgina Wooley (Frank) at Belleoram, Mona Poole (Angus) at St. Jacques, and Vera Rose (Allan) at Belleoram; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Daphne, brother, Jack and sister, Myra. Funeral service was held on Friday, December 23, 2011, at 2:00 pm from St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Belleoram with Rev.
