Passed peacefully away at her home in Sandyville on Monday, December 21, 2009, Mrs. Katie Blanche Crewe, age 80 years of Sandyville. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, Calvin; two daughters, Paulette (Frans) at Lunenburg, N.S. and Ena (Roger) at Sandyville; one son, Hughie (Cindy) at Marystown; 3 grandchildren, Desmond, Mandy and Michelle; four brothers, Banfield (Patsy) at Antigonish, N.S., Jim (Bessie) and Albert (Viola) at Port aux Basques, and Chesley (Patricia) at Port Bickerton; two sisters, Sarah (Horace Welsh) at Pool's Cove and Dorothy (Yons) at Sackville, N.S.; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Esther, and brother, Robert Parsons. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at 2:00 pm. from St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Hermitage Sandyville with Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Hermitage Sandyville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Clara; daughter, Connie at Oshawa, Ont., son, Richard (wife, Roberta) at Hermitage, daughter, Tracy (husband, Rockie) at Botwood and son, Dennis at St. John's; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Hubert Harris at Harbour Breton and Wesley Harris (wife, Donna) at Hermitage; sisters, Lucy Francis at Lunenburg, NS. and Margaret Blagdon (husband, Lawrence) at Coomb's Cove; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, Walter and Bertha Harris and other relatives. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 2:00 pm. from St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Hermitage with Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery at Hermitage-Sandyville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, James; three sons, Edward (Marie) at Lunenburg, NS, John (Frances)and Jim (Trudy) at Harbour Breton; five daughters, Linda (Wilson) at Paradise, Vivian (Reg) at Lunenburg, NS, Ida (Manuel) at Harbour Breton, Ruth (Bill) at Bishop's Falls and Gladys (Gilbert) at Port aux Port; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Perry (Stanley) at Harbour Breton and Charlotte Skinner at River Port, NS; one brother, John Skinner (Annie) at Harbour Breton plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her mother and father, Lucy and George Skinner; daughter, Eleanor; grand daughter, Aggie; three sisters and two brothers, and brother in law, Arthur Skinner. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 2:00 pm. from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church in Boxey with Rev. Colbourne officiating.
