Passed suddenly away at her residence in Gander on Thursday, August 23, 2012, Mrs. Gertie Hickey, age 70 years. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, John (Jack) Hickey; son, Robert and wife, Kelly, at Jackson's Point, ON; daughter, Coreena at Markham, ON; grandchildren, Austin, Ava and Arwin; step daughters, Cavell and husband, Reginald Bennett (Jr.) and Olivia and husband, Sheldon Mullins, at St. John's; grandchildren, Melissa, Reggie, Shelby and Emma; brothers, Charles, John, Melvin and Reg; sisters, Frances, Violet and Gwen; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm from St. Joseph' Roman Catholic Church in Harbour Breton with Father Justin Dawson officiating. Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012, George E. Sutton of Milltown, Bay D'Espoir at the age of 97. Predeceased by his loving wife of over 60 years, Rita, brothers Hubert, Gordon (Tilly), Clyde (Millie), son-in-law, Mike Cheeseman and special friend, Gladys Matchem. George will be lovingly remembered by his five children, Mack (Liz), Marina Cheeseman, George Jr. (Glenda), Kathy (Keith) Adams and Dave (Brenda). Also, he will be dearly missed by his brother, Herb (Winnie), sister, Millie (George) and sisters-in-law, Charlotte Kendell and Evelyn Sutton, twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at Caul's Funeral Home in Torbay on Thursday, August 2nd, from 7-9 p.m. Visitation and funeral followed at Christ Anglican Church in Milltown, Bay D'Espoir on Saturday, August 4th. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Willcott announce her passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday August 4, 2012 at the age of 92. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Sister Dorothy Willcott, St. John's, NL, Rod (Marie), St. Alban's, NL, Levi (Jenny), St. John's, NL, Mary (Eugene Simmons), Labrador City, NL, Dan (Lorraine), Chris (Wanda), all of St. Alban's, NL & Gerard (Gail), Ottawa, ON; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Alexander; brother: Levi Collier; sisters: Annie Blanchard, Marie Marshall & Theresa White. The funeral service was held on Tuesday August 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's
