Passed peacefully away at the Carmelite Home in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, April 29, 2013, Mrs. Emily Ann Benoit, age 68 years of Conne River. Leaving to mourn her loving family: daughter, Lavina Stride (Paul Brace); sons, Gordon Stride (Rachel) and Derek Stride (Rochelle) all at Conne River; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, George Drew (Priscilla) and Larry Drew (Rita); sisters, Linda (John Stride), Mary Drake (Bob), Florence Tremblay (Yvon), Daisy (Andy Joe) and Collie (Giles) all at Conne River; son in law, Bert Willcott at St. Alban's, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her first husband, Peter Stride, and second husband, Aloysius Benoit; daughter, Joyce Willcott; parents, John Joe Drew and Mary Anne Crant; brothers, Tommy Drew, Wilfred, Jim and Gordon. Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Conne River at 2:00pm with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Conne River. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

KENDELL, Samuel

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Kendell announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Friday April 12, 2013 at the age of 82. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife: Annie; children: Judy (Stan Monster), Fortune, NL, Dennis (Muriel), Milltown, NL, Patsy (Anthony Collier), Milltown & Peggy (Guy Sutton), Milltown, NL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother: Earl, Gaultois, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: George & Mary Kendell; brothers: Norman, Clarence, Albert & Wilson. The funeral service was held on Monday April 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Reverend Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at Christ Anglican Cemetery, Milltown. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.

LACE, Bessie

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Friday, April 5, 2013, Mrs. Bessie Lace, age 66 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, Eric; daughters, Erika (Paul Stewart), Deanna (Brian Fudge), Shannon (Palmer Stone) and Natasha (Peter Snook) all at Harbour Breton; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; son in law, Daniel Baker at Harbour Breton; sisters in law, Ann Zwicker (Roger) at Nova Scotia and Bessie Savoury at Harbour Breton; sisters, Alice King (Roger) at St. John's, Ann Lafitte (Roger) at St. Pierre and Frances Lucas (Bobby) at St. John's; brothers, James (Barbara) at Harbour Breton, Harvey (Dianne) at Quebec, John (June) at Harbour Breton, David (Gealinda) at Alberta and Eric (Kim) at Harbour Breton; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, James and Melita Skinner; daughter, Millie; sister, Maggie; great granddaughter, Averee; parents in law, George and Millie Lace; brother in law, Charles Savoury; special friend, Joseph Skinner. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton at 2:00pm with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery at Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

MARSHALL, Clyde
Born In: Pools Cove
Born: November 15th, 1925

With deep sorrow, the family of Clyde Marshall announces his death, at the age of 87 years, which occurred April 26th, 2013. Born November 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Tryphena & Frank Marshall of Pool's Cove, Fortune Bay, Nfld. Left to remember Clyde with love are his daughter, Cynthia, husband, Kenny of Big Island, Pictou Co., NS; sons; Ron, wife, Susan of Sackville, NS and Wayne, partner, Susan Sweet of Maitland, NS.; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also, leaving behind his best friend, his little dog, Goldie. Besides his parents, Clyde was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Theresa Marshall. He is also survived by his brothers, Lloyd and Clarence; sisters, Freda Chisholm, Ethel Saunders and Mable Johnson. He will be remembered by his beloved nieces, nephews and their children, and many friends. Of the many gifts and lessons he imparted what stands the tallest is his example of love and generosity. His family and his treasured friends benefited by his great humor. He always saw the good in everyone and always succeeded in making people smile. We loved him for his wit, his strength, his resilience and his caring love. We will remember him always and always cherish that memory. Donations in Clyde's name may be offered to McDermott United Church, Pool's Cove, Fortune Bay, NL. A0H 2B0. Cremation has taken place & interment will take place at a later date.

ORGAN, Jerome

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jerome Organ announce his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton, NL on Saturday April 27, 2013 at the age of 74. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Jackie (Art Hinks), Conne River, NL, Madonna (Sylvain Berube), Brandon, MB, Priscilla (Corwin Hussey), Portugal Cove, NL, William (Rosier), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Ernie (Dominique), St. Veronica's, NL, Sharon (Tony Drew), Fort McMurray, AB, Michael (Jeanette), Belleoram, NL & Erica (Roger Loveless), St. Alban's, NL; 7 grandchildren; brother: Lawrence, St. Veronica's, NL; sisters: Margaret Cornick, Port Au Choix, NL, Christina Willcott, St. Veronica's, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Elizabeth; brothers: Ralph & Thomas; sister: Mary. The funeral service was held on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
