Predeceased by wife Ellen Josephine (Nellie). Predeceased by her husband Robert in 1985. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her daughters Mary and husband Don MacBeath, Jeanette and husband Vic Lundrigan, Sarah and husband Jerry Antle, Genevieve and Bernadette. Sons John and wife Nora, Thomas and wife Rita, Robert and wife Donia and Hugo. Five grandchildren, sisters Catherine Maloney and Mary Ambroviak, brother Andy Ryan and a large circle of relatives and friends. Remains resting at the Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South. She is survived by her husband John McCarthy formerly of Crockers Cove, Nfld., daughter Barbara White and sons Henry and Arnold, their wives and a large circle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. MCGRATH, Annie E. - Mrs. Annie McGrath, 99, of Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, Riverhead and formerly of Cornhill Street, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 1996 at her residence. Born February 27, 1897 in St. John's, Nfld. She was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Kelly) Cooper. A homemaker, she attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Augustine's C.W.L. and a member of the Lions Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Jean Blakney (Theodore) of Moncton, Mrs. Betty Trueman (Douglas) of Moncton, Mrs. Catherine Pierson (Kit) of Brooklyn, N.Y. USA; three sons: Stan and his wife Corinne of Moncton, Gerry and his wife Stella of Moncton and John at Moncton; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James J. McGrath; one son, James in November 1995; two sisters: Mrs. Gerald Gould (Nellie) and Mrs. Alice Cahill; two brothers: Jack Cooper and Christopher Cooper.
