Leaving to mourn her sister Lillian Thistle of St. John's; brother Bill Carberry and wife Belle of St. John's; sister Phoebe Steele and husband Walter of Appleton; brother Eric Carberry and wife Audrey of Appleton and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. HALL, Allan Esmond Sr. - Passed peacefully away at O'Neil's Nursing Home, Goulds on October 4th, 1990, aged 87 years. Predeceased by wife Madeline Dunn, November 14th, 1960; daughter Alice Lacey, October 28th, 1986 and daughter Joan Hall, June 15th, 1950. Survived by daughter Shirley Curtis of Montreal, sons: Allan Jr. and wife June, Jesse and wife Anita, Arden and wife Mary, Tony and wife Barbara, also twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. HALL, James - Passed peacefully away on January 9, 1992 after a lengthy illness, James Hall, at his home in Grand Falls-Windsor, he was in his 90th year. Mr. Hall retired from Price Newfoundland Pulp and Paper Ltd. in 1967. Left to mourn are wife Ethel; sons: Andrew (wife Madeline) of St. John's, Percy of Grand Falls-Windsor, David of Grand Falls-Windsor, Alan (wife Vivian) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Munden of Toronto; daughter, Elizabeth Gilbert of Grand Falls-Windsor; also leaving to mourn sister, Bertha Tulk of Halifax, N.S.; eight grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. HALL, Mary Ann (English) - North River, Conception Bay. Entered quietly into eternal rest on Friday morning, August 4, 1995 at the Health Sciences Center following a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Predeceased by her son Bernard (1957) and husband James (1979), Mrs. Hall will be forever missed and remembered by her daughter Sylvia (Mrs. Nicholas Hurley - North River), grandchildren: Natasha, Andrea, Paul and Kenneth; sister Bride (Mrs. Patrick Kavanagh - St. John's), as well as sister-in-law Margaret (Mrs. John English); brothers-in-law: John Hall (Florence), Donald Hall (Joan), the Cummings and Hall families and many friends including special friends Richard Cummings and family. A loving and generous mother, grandmother, teacher and neighbour, "The Missus", as she was affectionately known, is resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach. HALL, Mary Carrie - Aged 80. Northwood Center, Halifax, formerly of Kencrest Avenue. Passed away November 29, 1992 at Northwood. She was born in St. John's, Nfld. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and William Warford. She was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Halifax. She was active in the Social Action Group, the church choir and a founding member of the Altar Guild. Carrie worked as a seamstress at Mills Brothers, Halifax. While living in St. John's she worked at the Waterford Hospital and the Grace Hospital. She is survived by two brothers: David Warford and Alex Warford and two sisters: Ann Lundrigan and Jean Vincent; two daughters: Mable Ollivier, London, Ontario (husband Bob), Shirley Greene, Summerside, P.E.I. (husband Royce); two sons: Archie Hall, Sackville, N.S. (wife Joan) and Bill Hall, Elmsdale, N.S. (wife Debbie); eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse Gordon Hall, Newtown, Nfld.; four brothers: George Warford, Arthur Warford, James Warford, Robert Warford and one sister, Madeline Warford. Funeral will be held in Newtown, Bonavista Bay, Nfld. HANCOCK, Levi - In his 86th year, formerly of King's Cove, Bonavista Bay, was ushered to his eternal reward on Wednesday, September 13, 1989, from Hoyles Home, which has been his residence for the past year. He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Phyllis) and father of Cecil (Bud) who predeceased him December 1982 and February 1983, respectively. Left to miss him are his son Gordon and wife Ruby of Evergreen Village and daughter Lillian Tannehill and husband Larry of Florida, brother Charlie of King's Cove and sister Muriel Renning (Babe) of New York; daughter-in-law Bertha.
