EDWARDS, Bernice - Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor for Bernice Theresa Edwards, 51, the victim of a car-pickup collision on Scott Avenue, Wednesday evening. Her remains were laid to rest in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Grand Falls. A spokesman for the Edwards family said yesterday that a Memorial Service will be held this afternoon at 5:15 p.m. at the Cathedral. Saturday's funeral service was presided over by Fr. Michael Ryan who was assisted by a number of priests from the central area of the province as well as from the west coast. Bishop Joseph Faber MacDonald was in attendance as well. Fr. Ryan, while extending words of support to the members of the Edwards family and other relatives and friends of the deceased, spoke of her as a "gentle" and "giving" person who had touched their lives. At the time of her death, Mrs. Edwards was office manager with the law firm of Griffin and Griffin. And in her husband's obit. above, it says Alma Connors is his sister. So I think it should be brother-in-law Joseph Connors. I had, for a second, thought that Connors might be her (Mary Josephine's) maiden name.

EVANS, David William - Aged 42, passed away suddenly on October 9, 1995 at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. He is survived by his loving wife Sue and two sons: Christopher (11) and Jordan (7).
