EARLE, "Sandy" Alexander William - Died suddenly as a result of a tragic traffic accident on Wednesday, December 16, 1992 at the age of 46. Born in Larkhall, Scotland, moved to Grand Falls at the age of 4. Left with fond and loving memories, wife Eileen; son Jeremy; mother Christina Earle; two sisters: Fiona Walsh (Tony) and Christine Earle in Ontario. Predeceased by his father Frederick A. Earle, May 6, 1986. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and dear friends. Resting at the Anglican Church Chapel. Funeral to be held on Saturday, December 19th at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Church Road, Grand Falls-Windsor at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery. EARLE, Clarence W. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, July 24, 1993, Clarence W. Earle of Carbonear, age 66 years. Leaving to mourn wife Mary; three daughters: Edna Earle, Margaret (Garfield) Deering and Stella (Ross) King all of Carbonear; three sons: Hayward, Stephen of Carbonear and Raymond (Deborah) at Goose Bay; nine grandchildren; three brothers: Arthur (Hazell), James (Veronica) and John (Florence) all of Carbonear; four sisters: Mrs. Annie Mutrey of Carbonear, Mrs. Violet Thomey, Dorothy (Patrick) Butler, and Stella (Nelson) Taylor of Bristol's Hope. Pre-deceased by his father (Aug. 12, 1980), mother (May 26, 1985) sisters Bernice (Sept. 26, 1964), Sheila (Sept. 26, 1992), nephew Rick (Oct. 5, 1991). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 48 years Agnes (Cahill); three very special children: Imelda, Derm and Claudette; one sister Joan (Mrs. William Murphy); one brother William (wife Rose); four special foster children: Judy, Elizabeth, Valerie and Vince; five special grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. EDWARDS, Bernice - Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor for Bernice Theresa Edwards, 51, the victim of a car-pickup collision on Scott Avenue, Wednesday evening. Her remains were laid to rest in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Grand Falls. A spokesman for the Edwards family said yesterday that a Memorial Service will be held this afternoon at 5:15 p.m. at the Cathedral. Saturday's funeral service was presided over by Fr. Michael Ryan who was assisted by a number of priests from the central area of the province as well as from the west coast. Bishop Joseph Faber MacDonald was in attendance as well. Fr. Ryan, while extending words of support to the members of the Edwards family and other relatives and friends of the deceased, spoke of her as a "gentle" and "giving" person who had touched their lives. At the time of her death, Mrs. Edwards was office manager with the law firm of Griffin and Griffin. And in her husband's obit. above, it says Alma Connors is his sister. So I think it should be brother-in-law Joseph Connors. I had, for a second, thought that Connors might be her (Mary Josephine's) maiden name.
