Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Alan and Ester (Kelly) Doyle. Prior to moving to Dartmouth in 1984 he lived and worked in Gander. There he was employed with the airline as a Flight Dispatcher since 1941. He retired in 1987 from Canadian Airlines. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Jean (Dawe) and a daughter Kathy of Dartmouth; a brother Joseph, St. John's and a sister Mary Wolf of Margate, N.J. (U.S.A.). Remains are resting in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street with visiting 2:00-4:00 p.m. 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday. DUNNE, Patrick - Passed peacefully away at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, Ontario, June 7, 1995 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn loving and devoted wife Gertrude (nee Shea); six daughters: Shirley Maloney, Bell Island; Diane Whalen, Spaniard's Bay, Nfld.; Linda, Catherine, Dorothy and Margaret, Cambridge, Ontario; eight sons: James, Bell Island; Michael, Angus, Paul, Blair, Andrew, William and Patrick, Cambridge, Ontario; also, one sister Rita Moore, Cambridge, Ontario. A large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Johanna Dunne, three brothers Bill, Ned and Harold and one sister Annie. Funeral was held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. Interment at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario. At the request of the family, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
