DALTON, Alphonsus - Died suddenly at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, September 1, 1990 in his 56th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Joan, four sons: Gerry and wife Yvonne of Goulds, Paul and wife Lynn of Goulds, Phonsie and Keith at home; one daughter Joanne and husband Leonard of Yellowknife, N.W.T and one grandson Alex also of Yellowknife, N.W.T His mother Mrs. Ida residing at St. Patrick's Mercy Home and mother-in-law Mrs. Bridget Duggan of Cape Broyle. Three brothers: Michael and wife Joan of Cape Broyle, John and wife Jeannie of Cape Broyle and Paddy and wife Sheila of St. John's. DALTON, Annie - Passed into her eternal home on Wednesday, February 8, 1989. Annie, special daughter of the predeceased Ann and Nick, every special sister to four brothers Richard and wife Beth, Patrick and wife Patricia, Gregory and family, Lawrence and wife Margaret; and six sisters Bernadette and husband Cyril Woodford, Florence (Mrs. James Woodford), Bell and husband Bill Kelly with whom she resided, all of Harbour Main, Madeline and husband Raymond Tubrett, Holyrood, Margaret (Mrs. Frank Baker), Esther (Mrs. John Lavin) both of the U.S.A., with fond memories are 66 loving nieces and nephews and 89 grand nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Dalton of Conception Harbour, in her 67th year. Predeceased by her husband George J. (1990), son Kenneth (1991) and brother (Edward) (1990). He was a long time member of International Iron Workers Local 764. Predeceased by his father and mother, George J. and Annie M. Dalton and brother Kenneth. DALTON, Gregory - Called by his loving God on Monday, August 3rd, 1992, Gregory in his 68th year, of Harbour Main, beloved husband of the late Gertrude Dalton. DALTON, Katherine - Peacefully in Ottawa on Saturday, April 18th, 1992, Katherine Thompson in her 80th year. Born in St. John's, Nfld. In 1913, she resided there until 1985. Widow of Thomas Joseph Dalton (1975). Sadly missed by her daughters: Judith (Mrs. Bob Paradis) of London, England and Mary Lou (Mrs. Brian Halferty) of Toronto. Also, survived by her grandchildren: Michele Paradis, Rene Morrissey and Erin, Peter, Mary Beth, Lesley and Michael Halferty and her great-grandchildren: Laura and Amy Morrissey. Dear sister of Hilda Myrick of Ottawa. Predeceased by her son Tommy and her brothers Cyril and Frederick Thompson formerly of St. John's. Cremation. DALTON, Leonard - Passed peacefully away on Sunday, February 26, 1989 at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, in his 63rd year, of Admiral's Beach. Left with fond and loving memories are his brothers: Vincent, Alvin and wife Philomena, Edwin and wife Nora, Gus and wife Margaret all at Admirals Beach. His sisters: Dorothy Maloney, Brooklyn, New York and Theresa O'Brien, New Jersey. Numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, a circle of other relative and friends. Remains were conveyed from Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood to rest at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Admirals Beach. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 1989 following 11:00 a.m. mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Admirals Beach. Interment will be in the RC. DALTON, Leslie Jean - Peacefully at the Hillside Residence in Victoria, B.C., in her 95th year. Daughter of the late Hugh and Lila Ross. Predeceased by her husband Herbert R. Brookes and Captain Martin T. Dalton. Leaving to celebrate a long life lived with spirit and courage, her son Laurie H. Brookes (Vicki) and his children: Nancy, Paul, John and Gordon of Toronto; her daughter Barbara Ryan (Tom), Manuels, C.B.S.; grandson David Ryan (Janie), New Milford, Conn.; and her beloved granddaughter and kindred spirit, Sydney Ryan (Ches); two great-granddaughters: Jesse Doyle and Siobhan Ryan. The family will be planting a garden in her memory at the Hillside Unit, Aberdeen Hospital, 1450 Hillside Avenue, Victoria, B.C. Cremation in Victoria. Interment at a later date in St. John's. DINN, James (Jim) E. - Mr. James (Jim) E. Dinn, 64, of Pioneer Ave., Moncton, N.B., passed away on Thursday, September 1, 1994 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born at St. John's, Nfld., he was the son of the late Leo J & Millicent (Vereholloway) Dinn. He was retired from the Royal Canadian Navy with 15 years service & also retired from the Federal Government U.I.C., Moncton. He is survived by his wife Virginia (MacDonald) Dinn; three sisters: Joan Din of Vancouver, Mrs. Frank Ryall (Gladys) of Halifax and He attended St. Augustines R.C. Church, Moncton.
