SNOW, Sadie Mildred, 93 Glace Bay - 93yrs
The Cape Breton Post, October 31, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Sadie Mildred (Lambert) Snow, with family by her side at Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay, on October 29, 2020 . Born in Green's Harbour NL, she was the daughter of Minnie and Nelson Lambert. Sadie was a very active member of her Community and Bethel Pentecostal Church. Our mother loved being around people. She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Glace Bay Garden Club, and the Old Town Historical Society. Sadie thoroughly enjoyed all these associations throughout the years. Her hands were never idle, either gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and cooking and we will have her handiwork with us forever to prove it.

Sadie raised seven children. At 50 she acquired a PCW certificate and began her career at Seaview Manor. Sadie never missed an opportunity to travel which she did from coast to coast, many trips to Florida and a very special trip to China. Sadie is survived by daughters, Diane (Bruce) Rogers, Carol (Rick Anderson), Debbie Blunden; sons, Eugene (Wanda Clements), and Dave (Karen). Sadie was predeceased by Eugene, the love of her life and husband of sixty nine years; daughters, Judy MacDonald, Janet Lee (Robin) Bendell, and brother, Jim Lambert. Sadie had a positive impact and a loving relationship with all her 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom you did so much with what you were given. We love you and will miss you forever. Sincere thanks to the staff at Victoria Haven and Dr. Ley, for their tender loving care.

Visitation for Sadie will be held at Patten's Funeral home, Union St., Glace Bay on Nov. 1, 2020, 4-7, and Funeral service will be at My Father's House Reserve St., Glace Bay, on Nov. 2, 2020 at 1 p.m. Reservations for visitation must be made via Patten's Funeral Home by phone at 902-849-7520. Online condolences maybe sent to www.pattenfuneral.com
