ADAMS (Hillier), Rachael Susannah Susan - 84 yrs Sydney
The Cape Breton Post, August 08, 2020 Saturday

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Adams on August 4, 2020 at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born in Lamaline, NFLD on February 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Laura Hillier. She was employed as a Caregiver with City Homemakers for many years until her own health was challenged. A kind, generous, loving and hardworking woman, she loved her family dearly and loved spending time with them. She was outgoing and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Susan was a member of Christ The King Anglican Church. Surviving are daughters, Beth (Perry) Corbett, Sydney; Joanne Adams, New Waterford; Donna (Jim) Adderson, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Jody, Amanda, Victoria, Alexandra and Patrick, as well as 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Maxwell Adams. A time of celebration where family and friends can come together to share stories of Susan will be announced when social gatherings are permitted. The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care Susan received at Seaview Manor. POWER, Shirley Helen Edna (Dove) - 83yrs Sydney
The Cape Breton Post, August 05, 2020 Wednesday

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Helen Edna (Dove) Power on Sunday, August 2, 2020. Born on June 19, 1937 in Grand Falls, NL, Shirley grew up and spent her life in Cape Breton and was the daughter of the late Pleman and Mae (Hale) Dove. Shirley is survived by her husband, Max Legge; sons, Brian, Blaine and Bobby Anthony; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters and six brothers. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Shirley Power will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.) Whitney Pier on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Harold Sparkes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley, may be made to the local charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
