It is with deep sorrow that the family of the late Kenneth Silas Bellows of Sydney River, announce his passing at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Wentworth Court with his son Scott at his side on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at the age of 74. Born in Frenchman's Cove, Bay of Islands NL, Ken was the son of the late Wilfred and Annie Bellows from Mt.Moriah, NL. Ken graduated from the RCMP training academy, Alberta in 1968. Many people have referred to him as the cat with 9 lives. Ken volunteered with the Law Enforcement Torcy Relay along with the Special Olympics Swimming Program and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cape Breton County.

He is survived by his three children: Lisa Bellows, Sydney, Lynn (Kramer) Levatte, Sydney River, Scott (Karen) Bellows, East Bay and grandchildren: Mary, Elizabeth, Charles and Daniel Levatte, Braxton Jessome, Silas and Zeph Bellows; brothers: Don (Geraldine), Harley (Carol), Harvey, Dave (Paulette), Wayne (Olga), Dexter (Mary), Glen (Bernadette), Byron (Hilda), Raymond (Donna); sisters: Linda, Jean (Alfred), Luella (Ignatius), Hazel (Ken), Debbie, Sharon (David); sister-in-law, Helen Bellows; special cousin, Luella Sheehan and special friend, Martha MacIsaac. Ken was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Bellows (2001); brother, Ben Bellows; brother-in-law, Cecil O'dell, Richard Montague and nephew, Mark Bellows. Also, brother-in-law, Russel Jr. (Bubbly) Kennedy; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Kennedy in infancy, mother-in-law, Violet Kennedy and father-in-law, Russel Kennedy.
