UPTON, Frances Eileen - 82
White Lake, Halifax Co., died June 23 1996  in Victoria General Hospital.  Born in Searston, Codroy Valley, Nfld, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Downey) Hynes.  She was an active member of the Ocean Waves Seniors Club Group; Canadian Pensioners Concern and Federal Super Annutes.  She was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (St.  Joseph's Church) and CWL. 

Surviving are her sons, Gerard, Boston, Mass., Brian, White Lake; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; sisters Theresa MacDonald, New Waterford, Dorothy Brown  New China, Maine; Patricia Shields, Searston, Nfld; brothers Leonard and James Hynes, Nfld Bernard Hynes, Oromocto, N.B. several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John D. Upton; brother Gerard Hynes. Visitation 7-9 p.m.  today, 2-4, 7-9 pm  Wednesday in Snow's Funeral Home 2666 Windsor St., Halifax.  Funeral 10 am Thursday in St. Joseph's Church, Shad Bay.  Cremation to follow.  Family flowers only.  Donations to St. Joseph's Church building fund.
