She was married to Max Bonnell, the love of her life, for 46 years. She also cherished her three children, Weldon (Tanya), Jill (Marc), and Faye (Tony). Iris went on to attend university and enjoy a long career in education. She was always passionate about learning and experiencing the beauty she so readily saw in life. Iris loved people and people loved her. Her grandmother, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and out-laws all meant the world to her, in addition to her many cherished friends. Iris had a passion for entertaining friends and family with delicious home cooking, games, music, laughter, and fun. Iris also found great joy in dancing, reading, writing, and gardening. She said she could never be bored because they were so many wonderful things to do in life. The love, laughter, and friendship Iris shared with so many will live on forever.
